Minister of Education heads to Japan to discuss ways to enhance cooperation

Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, heads to the Japanese capital, Tokyo, today, on an official visit that will last for several days, with the aim of enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise in educational projects of common interest between the two countries.
The visit is scheduled to include a number of important meetings with the Japanese Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and a number of important political figures, including the Chairman of the Japanese Parliament Committee on Education Ministry Affairs, the Governor of Tokyo, the President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), as well as the Secretary-General of the Japan-Egypt Friendship Group.
The visit also includes meetings with a group of experts in various fields of education, including officials from the National Institute for Education Policy Research (NIER), in addition to holding discussion sessions on Japanese education policies, best practices in the field of special needs education, the use of modern technologies in education, and the development of curricula.
The agenda of Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif’s visit also includes reviewing the results of the successful cooperation in the Egyptian-Japanese schools model and ways to activate more cooperation mechanisms in this framework, in addition to visiting a number of Japanese schools and educational institutions to learn about the best practices and educational reforms in the fields of special needs education, inclusive education, especially “Tokkatsu”, in addition to professional development programs for teachers.
