Joint Press Release by the Ministry of Education and the Central Agency for Organization and Administration

Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Eng. Hatem Nabil, Head of the Central Agency for Organization and Administration, agreed to raise the maximum age for applicants to 45 years old for the competition to fill the position of "Assistant Teacher" for part-time teachers. They also agreed that the agency would announce the competition next June.
This came during a meeting held by the two sides at the headquarters of the Central Agency for Organization and Administration in the Administrative Capital.
The Minister of Education emphasized that the decision to raise the age limit aims to accommodate the largest number of qualified part-time teachers and is in appreciation of the ministry's important role in filling the teacher shortage in recent years. He thanked the agency for its great flexibility in meeting the needs of the Ministry of Education and contributing to filling the gap.
The Minister of Education added that this competition is open only to those who have previously worked as part-time teachers with the ministry and are registered in the designated database. The ministry will, in turn, refine the list of applicants, which the agency will provide to it after the application deadline to ensure their names are included in the part-time teachers' database. For his part, Engineer Hatem Nabil explained that the Authority welcomes all forms of support to assist the state's administrative apparatus in carrying out their duties and improving the efficiency of the services they provide. He is currently working to reengineer its work mechanisms to shorten the documentation and procedural cycle without compromising the accuracy of its tasks. He noted that the Authority places great importance on meeting the needs of the Ministry of Education, given the important role of teachers in shaping students' personalities and the nation's future.
In this context, the Authority's head announced an amendment to the content of the electronic exam scheduled for applicants who meet the conditions for participating in this competition, to further facilitate the competition. The announced facilitations include the absence of an English language exam for those not applying for English language assistant teacher positions.
