Minister of Education Makes New Field Visit to Several Schools in Kafr El-Sheikh)

In a new field visit, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, made a surprise visit this morning to eight schools in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate to assess the level of discipline and monitor the regularity of the educational process.

The Minister was accompanied during the visit by Dr. Ahmed El-Mohammadi, Assistant Minister for Strategic Planning and Follow-up and Supervisor of the Central Administration for the Minister's Office.

Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif began his tour with a visit to the Qallin Distinguished Official Language School, affiliated with the Qallin Educational Administration, which has 1,253 students. The Minister inspected classrooms to ensure the smooth running of the educational process and to observe teachers' lessons.

The Minister also held discussions with teachers about the teaching methods used in light of the updated curriculum. He also reviewed student attendance and absence rates and the assessment booklets.

The Minister also inspected activity rooms, laboratories, and libraries, and examined their equipment and the extent to which they are being used effectively to support the educational process.

The Minister then visited the Martyr Sayed Abdel Aziz Alwan Secondary School for Girls, affiliated with the Qallin Educational Administration, which has 1,600 students.

During the visit, the Minister held a dialogue with a number of first-year secondary students about the programming and artificial intelligence course. He pointed out that their active participation in studying programming and artificial intelligence through the platform represents an important step in developing their skills. He emphasized that they have the opportunity to obtain an internationally accredited certificate from Hiroshima University in Japan if they pass the TOFAS exam, stressing that this certificate opens up numerous future job opportunities for the students.

Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif, during his conversation with the students, affirmed the Ministry's commitment to providing them with all means of support during their studies on the platform. He urged them to be committed and consistently engaged to maximize their benefit from studying programming and artificial intelligence, explaining that the platform is a genuine opportunity for excellence.

The Minister then proceeded to inspect the Martyr Ahmed Helal Preparatory School for Boys, which has 555 students. He reviewed the students' academic progress, their adherence to homework assignments and weekly assessments, and their understanding of the curriculum. At the end of his tour, he commended the school principal's efforts and the smooth operation of the educational process.

Following this, Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif visited the Martyr Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Salah El-Din Malek Secondary School for Boys in the Qallin Educational Administration, which has 892 students. He engaged in discussions with the students about the Baccalaureate system and the multiple exam opportunities it offers compared to the single exam opportunity in the general secondary education system. The Minister also discussed various subjects with the students, including programming and artificial intelligence, urging them to make the most of the Japanese "Kiryo" platform to develop their skills. He explained that integrating this content into the Egyptian education system opens new horizons for skills-based learning and character development.

The Minister also spoke with several members of the Quality Support and Measurement Unit during their visit to the school, discussing the department's objectives and their work responsibilities, and wishing them success in their mission.

The Minister emphasized the Ministry's commitment to developing students' critical thinking and creativity skills, rather than relying on rote memorization. He stressed that schools should be stimulating environments for learning and productivity, not merely places for receiving lessons.

Following this, the Minister visited several schools within the Desouk Educational Administration, including Ibn Haroun Primary School, which has 821 students. He observed the students' literacy levels and instructed teachers to focus on developing students' reading and writing skills from the earliest grades, considering it the cornerstone of character building and developing their abilities. He also emphasized the importance of addressing individual differences among students to ensure the highest levels of academic achievement.

Following this, the Minister visited the Othman Al-Qaradawi Preparatory School for Boys, which has 772 students. He engaged in discussions with students and teachers about the updated curriculum and their ability to grasp the material. He also spoke with several female teachers about weekly assessments and reviewed students' Arabic language workbooks as part of the program to develop reading skills for upper elementary students.

Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif's tour also included a visit to the Sanhour Al-Madina Preparatory School for Girls, which has 777 students. He inquired about the students' academic progress, praising their performance and the excellent work of the school principal. He also directed that maintenance work continue and that the school walls be kept clean.

The minister concluded his inspection tour with a visit to the “Martyr Lieutenant Ali Saad Zehni Joint Secondary School,” which has 827 male and female students. During his inspection, he was keen to talk to the students about their future scientific aspirations, the extent to which they benefit from modern technology, and the importance of their studying programming through the “Kirio” platform, stressing that the Ministry of Education aims to prepare a generation capable of creativity and technology creation, not just use of it.
