Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, met with the delegation of the General Secretariat of the Khalifa Award for Education, with the aim of strengthening the bonds of educational and academic cooperation with educational institutions in Egypt, and defining the message and objectives of the Khalifa Award for Education and the fields presented in its sixteenth session.

The delegation included Mohammed Salem Al-Dhaheri, member of the Board of Trustees, Amal Al-Afifi, Secretary-General of the Award, Dr. Suad Al-Suwaidi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Award, and Dr. Khaled Al-Abri, member of the Executive Committee of the Award, in the presence of Dr. Sherine Hamdy, Advisor to the Minister for Administrative Development and Supervisor of the Central Administration for the Minister’s Office And Dr. Iman Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Student Activities.

Dr. Reda Hegazy emphasized the strong relationship between Egypt and the UAE, and cooperation in several fields, including pre-university education, praising the Khalifa Award for Education in spreading the culture of excellence locally and internationally, and its role in supporting and encouraging creativity, innovation, scientific and educational research in the various stages of education, and its contribution In attracting and spreading successful international practices, stressing the support of the Egyptian Ministry of Education for this award, within the framework of close cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

For his part, Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri, member of the Board of Trustees of the Khalifa Award for Education, expressed his happiness at his visit to the sister country of Egypt, stressing the historical relations between the two countries. And strengthening the distinguished relations between Egypt and the UAE in the fields of education and culture, in addition to exchanging views and experiences for the best educational, educational and cultural practices to serve the education process in Egypt and the UAE.

For her part, Amal Al-Afifi, Secretary-General of the Award, explained that the award includes 10 fields distributed over 17 categories, including the field of legal educational personality, the field of general education (the creative teacher category, the institutional educational performance category), the field of educational research, the field of people of determination, and the field of technical education.

During the meeting, the two sides agreed to link the website of the Khalifa Educational Award to the website of the Egyptian Ministry of Education. The minister also directed to send a letter to the directorates to introduce and participate in this award.

On the sidelines of the visit of the delegation of the General Secretariat of the Khalifa Award for Education, the delegation visited this morning the School of Outstanding Students for Science and Technology in Obour City, and they were received by Muhammad Attia, Head of the Central Administration for Expenses Education, and Dr. It includes student projects, and the students presented a presentation of the projects they prepared, which are based on scientific research, critical thinking, and solving problems and challenges facing the country.

The delegation praised the efforts made by the Ministry in this type of school, the laboratories that include the latest equipment, and the distinguished projects presented by the students, which showed the students’ ability to communicate, problem-solving, self-confidence, and responsibility.
