Minister of Education Reviews Implementation Steps to Launch the "Koero" Platform
Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, met with officials from the Japanese company "Sprex" to review the implementation steps for launching the "Koero" platform for teaching programming and artificial intelligence to first-year secondary school students, starting in the 2025/2026 academic year. This is part of the Ministry's efforts to utilize modern technology and artificial intelligence in the educational process.
During the meeting, Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif reviewed all details related to the platform, including the mechanism for entering personal accounts and passwords for students and teachers, as well as the method for presenting lessons on the platform and how to activate the platform on interactive screens in secondary school classrooms.
The meeting also reviewed student study mechanisms on the platform, the role of subject teachers in providing students with theoretical studies while assisting them with practical application on the platform, and the procedures related to electronic exams on the platform.
Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif emphasized that the cooperation with "Sprex" represents a qualitative shift that reflects the Ministry of Education's commitment to providing digital content and interactive programs in secondary schools in accordance with the best international standards.
The Minister also emphasized expanding the scope of close cooperation between the Egyptian and Japanese sides in various other areas that serve the educational system and achieve maximum benefit for students and teachers.
For their part, Sprix officials expressed their appreciation for the fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, affirming the company's commitment to providing the latest digital solutions that provide students with a distinguished educational experience based on interaction and innovation.
They also praised the Ministry's ambitious vision of integrating programming and artificial intelligence into the curriculum, as a strategic step toward preparing a new generation with future skills.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Daher, Deputy Minister; Dr. Ayman Bahaa El-Din, Deputy Minister; and Dr. Hanem Ahmed, Advisor to the Minister for International Cooperation and Agreements.
