The Minister of Education meets the leaders of the General Authority for Literacy and the Regional Center for Adult Education

Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, held a meeting with the leaders of the General Authority for Adult Education and the Regional Center for Adult Education in Sers El-Layan, to discuss the future plan during the coming period, and to agree on a work mechanism between the General Authority for Adult Education and the central administration for educational dropout in the Ministry’s general office.
At the beginning of the meeting, the minister welcomed the attendees, stressing that the issue of illiteracy is a societal issue, and the solution to this issue takes place with the participation and concerted efforts of all members of society, indicating that the ministry has introduced in the new structure the central administration for dropping out of education and eradicating illiteracy.
The minister explained that the rapid methodological steps must be carried out through dialogue and discussion on a specific issue, through the use of exciting dialogue stimuli such as “pictures – proverbs – stories”, and following the developmental and right approach in eradicating illiteracy, and this is summarized in the facilitator participating with the learner in preparing the educational material; Because the illiterate is not ignorant, but he has experience that we must build on.
The minister pointed out that the illiteracy file is one of the important files, and that it is considered one of the most serious problems that impede the process of construction, development and progress, calling on the leaders of the General Authority for Adult Education to adopt the developmental and empowering approach in adult education and learning, and to try to teach the student a craft next to learning to read and write, in addition to the direction Towards preserving the environment from pollution and identifying climate issues.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Khaled Abdel Hakam, Head of the Central Administration to Address Educational Dropout, Ms. Nadia Abdullah, Head of the Central Administration for Teachers Affairs, Dr. Rabab Zaidan, Director General of the General Administration for Educational Leadership Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Nassif, Head of the Executive Body of the Public Authority for Adult Education, and Dr. Reda Daoud, Head of the Central Administration For planning at the General Authority for Adult Education, Dr. Walid Huwayla, Director of the Training Department at the General Authority for Adult Education, Dr. Khaled Khader, Director of the Regional Center for Adult Education in Sars El Layan, and Ms. Wafaa Khamis, Training Officer at the Cairo Directorate.
