The Minister of Education orders immediate and decisive action

In light of the video circulating online showing several students behaving inappropriately in a classroom at Abdel Salam El Mahgoub School in Alexandria, deliberately insulting a female teacher, Minister of Education and Technical Education, Mohamed Abdel Latif, has ordered immediate and decisive action.

Minister Abdel Latif has referred the entire incident to the legal department for the imposition of the strictest penalties on any school administration or educational authority found to be negligent or involved.

The Minister has also ordered the permanent expulsion of the students involved for one year, barring them from enrolling in any other school before the 2026/2027 academic year.

Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif stressed that the dignity of the teacher is a red line, stressing that the ministry will not tolerate or allow any form of transgression or abuse that affects the teacher’s prestige, and that school discipline and respect for the teacher are the foundation upon which the educational process is built, noting that any attempt to disrupt the school system or transgress against any teacher will be met with deterrent and immediate measures.
