On the sidelines of the COP 27 . Climate Summit The Minister of Education discusses with the Mayor of Tokyo)

Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, met today in Sharm El-Sheikh, Mrs. Koike Yuriko, Mayor of the Japanese city of Tokyo, and her accompanying delegation, to discuss joint cooperation files, as part of their visit to Egypt to participate in the COP 27 climate summit.

The meeting touched on discussing many areas of cooperation, examining student exchange opportunities between Egypt and Japan, and strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

At the beginning of the meeting, Minister of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Reda Hegazy, praised the distinguished relations between Egypt and Japan in the fields of education, which resulted in many joint projects, among which are the Egyptian-Japanese schools.

During the meeting, the minister presented several proposals such as establishing fraternity programs between Egyptian and Japanese high schools, linking Egyptian schools with their Japanese counterparts, and family hosting programs, which were widely welcomed by the mayor of Tokyo.

The mayor of Tokyo stressed Japan's interest in conducting a student exchange program to activate many scientific programs between Egypt and Japan.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Daher, Deputy Minister for Technological Development, Dr. Sherine Hamdi, Advisor to the Minister for Administrative Development and Supervisor of the Central Administration for the Affairs of the Minister's Office, and Dr. Hanim Ahmed, Advisor to the Minister for International Cooperation.
