The Minister of Education chairs the meeting of technical education leaders and reviews the vision and work mechanisms in the technical education system
Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, chaired the meeting of the Technical Education Leadership Council. To discuss a number of topics related to the technical education system and preparations for technical diploma exams.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Reda Hegazy called on the audience to stand for a minute of silence in memory of Dr. Mohamed Mujahid, Deputy Minister for Technical Education, who passed away last week, appreciating his national role and dedication to work, due to the many achievements he achieved in developing the technical education sector.
Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education, confirmed that the Egyptian state pays great attention to the technical education sector as it is one of the main pillars for achieving sustainable development in the Egyptian economy. The Minister also reviewed the development witnessed by the technical education system, noting that applied technology schools have changed society’s mental image of education. The technician.
The minister added that the development of technical education came through true partnership with the private sector, noting that the strong partnership with the private sector, government institutions and civil society represents one of the ministry’s most important policies and a top priority in its strategic plan 2024/2029.
Within the framework of reviewing the preparations related to the technical diploma exams 2023/2024, which start from May 25 until June 6, 2024, for the written exams, Dr. Reda Hegazy announced the issuance of a ministerial decision appointing Dr. Mohamed Musa Amara as Head of the General of Technical Diploma Exams, and Dr. Amr Basila as Vice President of the General of Exams.
Dr. Reda Hegazy approved the schedules for technical diploma exams. He also directed that restrooms for technical education observers and correctors be prepared, and that the work of controls and examination committees be ensured.
The Minister explained that the approved administrative structure of the Ministry of Education includes three central departments for technical education, which are (the central administration for technical education schools, the central administration for the development of technical education, and the central administration for the Academy of Technical Education Teachers), indicating the necessity of organizing work mechanisms between these departments, provided that they present Directly to Dr. Minister.
The Minister also directed coordination between the central departments to achieve the Ministry’s strategic goals and desired achievements, in addition to cooperation and coordination with the central administration for curriculum development, as well as coordination with the Professional Academy for Teachers to set standards and controls for the professional development of technical education teachers.
This came in the presence of Dr. Amr Basila, Head of the Central Administration for the Development of Technical Education, Dr. Mohamed Emara, Head of the Central Administration for Technical Education Schools, Dr. Ashraf Bahgat, Head of the Central Administration for the Academy of Technical and Vocational Education Teachers, and the leadership of technical education in the Ministry.
