In light of the directives of Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, regarding the importance of the planned exercises to raise the efficiency of teachers, the Ministry held trainings for teachers of the fourth grade of primary school on basic subjects, where the number of those trained reached 106,893 teachers.
The training of primary school principals on the training package for the values and respect approach was completed. The number of those targeted for this training reached (17,335) principals, and the number of those who were trained (16435) with an estimated percentage of (95.3%).
Dr. Reda Hijazi, Deputy Minister for Teacher Affairs, said that training does not aim to develop individual competencies only, but rather responds to the needs of the educational system and the repercussions of the challenges it faces. It is commensurate with belonging and loyalty to the homeland.
He added that the trainings aim to develop the knowledge, experiences and attitudes of the trainees, which makes them more effective in performing their tasks, and that the main purpose of the training is to help the teacher and train him to find appropriate methods for scientific and educational construction, which facilitate the teacher to develop himself scientifically and educationally in light of the new philosophy of education.
