The meeting was attended by Dr. Reda Hegazy, Deputy Minister for Teachers' Affairs, Dr. Alaa Eid, Head of the Preventive Medicine Sector, and a number of leaders of the Ministries of Education, Health and Population.
Dr. Reda Hegazy praised the cooperation with the Ministry of Health in many areas, including providing a safe school year according to a preventive plan that works to preserve all elements of the educational system.
Hegazy stressed the need to implement all strict precautionary measures to confront the Corona virus in educational institutions to preserve the health of our students, including providing a health visitor in every school, and alerting students to washing hands and accompanying students, whether in going out or entering classes in order to achieve social divergence, stressing that there is no intention To postpone the study or reduce the days of attendance in schools, and that attendance is daily and mandatory while maintaining all precautionary measures, and if there is a positive mixing of a confirmed case of infection, the student is isolated at home and his condition is followed up provided that he has brought a proof of his contact with a confirmed case of infection.
Hijazi warned the directors of the directorates to finish setting school schedules and to develop flexible and varying solutions to reduce the density in schools and classes to achieve ways of social distancing between students, including exploiting the spaces in the school or dividing the attendance of students into two periods after the approval of the director of the directorate and according to the conditions of each governorate, and the need to adhere to what came In the periodical books issued in this regard and printing the preventive plan for the new school year 2021/2022; issued by the Ministry of Health and Population; The preventive medicine sector, which has been uploaded to the ministry’s website, circulated and distributed to departments and schools, with employees not entering schools until after receiving the vaccine or taking a swab twice a week until it receives the vaccine in the state’s concern for the health of its children.
He also directed the directors of the directorates to form a committee at the level of the directorate, administration and school; In coordination with the Departments of Environmental Education and Population; To spread awareness of the precautionary measures contained in the Ministry of Health’s plan, and coordinate with the Health Directorate to take precautionary measures and measures to confront the Corona virus, and the necessary and appropriate resources must be available to disinfect surfaces and toilets with liquid chlorine in cooperation with civil society institutions.
For his part, Dr. Alaa Eid stressed the importance of the meeting, based on the preventive role in the early detection of epidemics and commitment to the standards of health conditions that must be met and adopted within educational facilities to ensure the safety of students, teachers and school workers, by committing to vaccinating all groups working in educational facilities and follow-up and supervision of the implementation of the sector plan Preventive and periodic analysis of absentee data and detected cases, risk assessment, follow-up of contacts of cases, limiting transmission of infection, raising awareness for all groups participating in the educational process, and the participation of parents to educate students, wishing a successful and safe school year for all, especially our students.
