During the meeting, the minister stressed that the development of education is continuing based on the state's plan, with the possibility of modification in the implementation mechanisms so that the citizen feels the change on the ground.
With regard to the curricula, the minister stressed that the new curricula help the student to think critically, manage knowledge and obtain it in light of the digital transformation and the multiplicity of educational sources such as digital platforms and tablets, and integrating them with the student’s study program to help him understand the lessons, noting that short tests will be conducted using the tablet at intervals. The minister stressed that the teachers’ training package was instructed by the directors of all educational materials in cooperation with the directors of all subjects in the educational directorates, noting the importance of training teachers on the specifications of the new system’s tests.
The minister pointed out that the ministry is currently preparing a law for a license to practice the profession for faculty members, and there will be a transitional phase and a deadline for its implementation until all teachers obtain it, pointing out that the license to practice the profession differs from the certificate of validity.
Dr. Reda Hegazy stressed the importance of administrative reform and governance and benefiting from the ministry's cadres in the development process, stressing the importance of decentralization and the need to activate the role of the follow-up and performance evaluation body and field visits.
The Minister indicated that the high school exams will be corrected for a second round and grades will be monitored electronically within the high school controls, after examining the questions through the technical committees formed by the mentors and general managers of the development of study materials and making the necessary adjustment and correction according to the opinion of the committee.
The minister stressed that in the interest of the students, a specialized committee will be formed from the teachers of the faculties of education for measurement and evaluation to discuss the mechanism of evaluating students in the secondary stage, and to take the necessary measures based on the report of the committee to serve the interest of the student, and for the student to be aware of how to evaluate him before the start of the new school year .
In a related context, the minister affirmed that technical education is the locomotive of progress, noting that the ministry has begun applying the competencies that qualify for the labor market, involving the owners of industries and institutions in the process of evaluating students, and working to expand the schools of applied technology due to the great demand for them for the education they provide.
