The Minister of Education holds a meeting with the directors of the directorates to review the final instructions for the high school exams
Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education and General Head of the General Secondary Examinations, held a meeting with the directors of the educational directorates via video conference; To announce the final instructions for the work of the committees with the exams for the completion of the general secondary school certificate for the academic year 2021/2022, which is scheduled to start on June 20, in the presence of Dr. Reda Hijazi, Deputy Minister for Teacher Affairs and a number of ministry leaders.
Tariq Shawqi said that the number of students applying for high school exams this year amounted to 707,992 students (the scientific and literary divisions), within 2,089 traffic committees in each sector at the level of the Republic, noting the need to adhere to the instructions for exam controls announced by the ministry, and work. To ensure that students enter the committees without any electronic devices (mobiles - headphones).
The minister added that the concept book will be distributed to the examination committees before the start of the exams marathon, stressing the need to warn students not to write on the concept book and hand it over to the observers after the exam ends daily, because the student is not allowed to leave the concept book from the committee.
Shawky indicated that the concept book will be used for the coming years, calling on the observers to exercise restraint and responsibility during the conduct of exams and to work to provide calm within the committees in order to preserve the interest of our students, wishing all students success.
For his part, Dr. Reda Hijazi, Deputy Minister for Teachers’ Affairs and Vice President of the General Secondary Examinations, explained that the high school exams are a national task in order to serve our students, stressing the directors of educational directorates and committee chairs to follow the instructions sent to them regarding holding the exam.
Hegazy pointed out that the materials not added to the total do not have a concept book, stressing the need to warn students not to write on the answer sheet (Babel Sheet).
The Ministry of Education stressed the need to ensure that the student recorded his data on the answer sheet (Babel Sheet) and the question booklet with a ballpoint pen, and that the exam session code recorded in the question booklet was recorded correctly on the answer sheet, and that the observers signed the validity of the data.
She explained that the student is obligated to deliver the question booklet and the answer sheet (Babel Sheet) intact according to the instructions, and in the event of damage to the answer sheet, the student is allowed to replace it with another new paper if he wishes to do so, provided that this is done during the time period designated for the exam with the need to write a report and dispose of the paper damaged by the student.
The Ministry warned of the need to use the electronic stick in the following cases: (during the entry of students, inside the traffic sub-committees before distributing the exam brochures and focusing on the discs, half an hour after the start of the exam without affecting the discipline of the exam process).
