The Minister stressed that one of the most important goals of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education is to develop the values of citizenship, loyalty, and belonging, to confront any extremist ideas in various fields, noting that various activities are being implemented in this framework at the level of 44 villages across the Republic under the supervision of the Supreme Committee for Loyalty Development. The minister said that the general policy of the Egyptian government is based on integration between ministries, stressing the importance of integrating the Ministry of Education with the Ministries of Youth, Sports, Culture, Endowments, Church, and Solidarity, so that there is a package of integrated activities that will produce a successful and strong return on developing awareness, loyalty, and belonging. The Minister indicated that in this regard, the subject of values and respect for others was added in the primary stage, also stressing the importance of our students practicing activities through the sports, cultural and artistic day, and holding sports and cultural activities and competitions in cooperation with the Ministries of Youth, Sports and Culture, as well as emphasizing awareness-raising. The Minister also stressed the need to pay attention to addressing difficulties in reading and writing among students, especially in the early stages of education before the third grade of primary school, so as not to affect their academic level and acceptance of education, explaining that the difficulty of reading and writing is the mother of the difficulties facing teachers and those in charge of the educational process.

The Minister explained that the Ministry seeks to provide a distinguished educational system. In this context, the Minister directed that subject instructors be informed of these educational and training materials and send their comments and suggestions to the Ministry in order to be taken into account during its development and updating.

Dr. Reda Hegazy reviewed the measures taken by the Ministry to develop and control the educational process, as he stressed the continued activation of electronic absence, and limiting daily absence to the various educational stages, especially the preparatory and secondary stages, directing the activation of free lectures for students to benefit and assist in achievement.

The Minister also directed the continuation of implementing school support groups in the governorate, by selecting the best distinguished, qualified teachers in each educational department, and selecting the best schools in each educational department that includes an amphitheater or theater as a hall suitable for students receiving the groups.

The Minister reviewed the mechanisms for implementing viewing periods for our school channels, in which lessons are explained by the most famous teachers, and broadcasting these lessons in schools, directing the need to inform students of the dates of broadcast and viewing periods and to announce them in each school.

The Minister also touched on the “30,000 Teachers” competition, noting that the announcement of the competition is made according to need and filling the deficit in each directorate, and according to the required specializations, adding that 54 teachers have been appointed in light of the percentage (5%) of people of determination.

In another context, the Minister praised the regular conduct of the exams for the first semester of the preparatory certificate in the governorate and the ensuring the conduct of the exams, thanking and appreciating those in charge of the exams in the governorate. The Minister also praised the governorate’s role in exam procedures.

The minister continued by directing the education leaders in the governorate to the importance of strengthening cooperation with civil society organizations and civil society associations in dealing with the phenomenon of illiteracy, pointing out that the illiterate person has life experiences that qualify him to learn to read and write easily through the developmental approach and qualification in eradicating illiteracy, explaining that the issue of illiteracy is represented by reluctance. The Minister stressed the role of follow-up in maintaining the smooth functioning of the educational process, explaining that 45 observers were assigned to follow up on 150 schools in the governorate and measure their teaching performance rates.

For his part, Major General Osama Al-Qadi, Governor of Minya, welcomed Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, praising his efforts in developing the educational process.

Major General Osama Al-Qadi stressed the Egyptian state’s keenness to develop the education system under the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to create a new generation capable of achieving aspects of comprehensive development and addressing the challenges facing the nation.

The governor added that Minya Governorate aims to establish new schools, as it has (1,847) school buildings, (3,274) schools, and (29,484) classrooms, noting that under the initiative of the President of the Republic, A Decent Life, a number (213) schools were built and renovated. .

The governor continued that, in light of the interest in technical education as one of the means of comprehensive development and achieving Egypt’s sustainable vision 2030, there are (157) technical education schools, and (4) applied technology schools, and their number is being increased to (9) schools, and a number of technical schools are being converted. Industrial to applied technology schools.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Governor of Minya presented Dr. Reda Hegazy with the governorate’s shield. The Minister and Governor also honored the student Nourhan Hamada, who won first place in the Holy Quran Competition, the student Naglaa Mahmoud, who won second place in the competition, and the student Reem Emad for obtaining the ideal student at the republic level.
