Today, Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, chaired the meeting of the Supreme Council of Trustees, Parents and Teachers at the level of the Republic; To follow up on the preparations for the new school year 2021/2022, and to discuss a number of different educational issues, at the Ministry’s general office.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Tarek Shawky welcomed the members of the council, stressing that the council is the legitimate representative of the opinions of parents and teachers, praising their role in overcoming many problems of the educational process and the efforts made to make the new education system a success.
Shawky said that we are continuing to change to improve the quality of education by training and qualifying teachers and students in the new academic year more strongly, stressing that the ministry aims to be present this year, to bridge the educational gap for students caused by the Corona pandemic during the previous two years.
The minister indicated that the state is interested in the regularity of the new school year and the re-education of the educational process, especially students from kindergarten to the fourth grade of primary school, to provide the children of these classes with the opportunity to learn in schools, in addition to attending all other educational classes and completing educational curricula.
The minister added that the basic development that takes place in building the new curricula from kindergarten to the fourth grade of primary school aims to provide students with several skills, including professional and technological skills, consolidating values ​​and morals, developing a curiosity, and staying away from memorization and indoctrination, stressing that the role of the teacher in motivating students to Learning is the most important role in the system.
The minister added that the general secondary exams for this year are electronic, and that a strong infrastructure has been established, and it is being developed periodically and continuously.
The meeting witnessed a discussion of preparations for the new academic year, and a discussion of the reports of the members of the Supreme Council regarding work in the educational directorates.
During the meeting, the Minister directed the establishment of a special official page documented by the Council to be the legitimate channel for the pulse, voices and opinions of parents, which is reliable in matters related to the educational process, with a media campaign to educate parents about the need for students to attend schools, and to collect opinions and inquiries regarding the educational system.
Dr. Tariq Shawky confirmed that there are field tours during the new academic year in various governorates to follow up the regularity of the educational process in the presence of council members, noting that the governorates will be targeted to exchange dialogue with the elements of the educational process and respond to inquiries.
For his part, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Deputy Minister for Teachers’ Affairs, stressed that the ministry is keen on the regularity of the new school year in attendance, and the regularity of teachers, noting that there are strict instructions for educational directorates to follow precautionary measures to prevent the Corona virus, and directors of directorates were directed to follow the system of dividing periods, to apply spacing. among students, to maintain the health of students and teachers.
For his part, Engineer Ahmed Kamal, head of the Supreme Council of Trustees, Parents and Teachers, affirmed the full council’s support for the ministry’s strategy in general and the minister’s vision regarding the development of the educational process, noting that the council in all governorates is following up on preparations for the new school year, and work will not stop to deliver the true message of science. .
The meeting was attended by Dr. Reda Hegazy, Deputy Minister for Teachers’ Affairs, Elham Ibrahim, Head of the Educational Services and Activities Sector, Engineer Ahmed Kamal, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Trustees, Parents and Teachers, Dr. Iman Hassan, Executive Director of the Council, Head of the Central Administration for Student Activities, Dr. Amr El-Desouky, Secretary of the Council and Director General of Social Education Council members in various provinces.
