At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ayman Ashour stressed the importance of fruitful cooperation between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministries of Education, Technical Education and Labor, stressing that the concerted efforts aim to develop the education and training system. Dr. Ayman Ashour also stressed the necessity of cooperation between the relevant ministries to develop students’ skills, starting from the pre-university stage, through the university stage, until the labor market, indicating that this cooperation comes within the framework of anticipating the requirements of the future labor market, and qualifying graduates to meet its changing needs, including It is in line with the vision of the political leadership to localize industries and raise the quality of education.

The Minister pointed out the priority given by the state to developing all aspects of the education system, especially the human element, through good selection and qualification, whether technical or personal, in a way that ensures achieving the highest levels of objectivity, impartiality, and merit, which is reflected in the quality of educational service that students receive. .

The meeting discussed ways to develop training programs to suit the requirements of the labor market, provide real job opportunities for graduates, link education to the labor market, search for mechanisms to link higher education outcomes with the needs of different sectors, and encourage cooperation between universities and companies.

Dr. Ayman Ashour explained that there are two aspects to linking study with the labor market: the first is academic, represented by various university programs, and the second is vocational, achieved through university centers of excellence that work to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and labor market requirements, which enables students to gain practical experience. Necessary.

During the meeting, the efforts currently being made to raise the level and develop the level of university graduates to meet the requirements of the labor market were reviewed. Opportunities for cooperation between the relevant ministries were also discussed. To enhance and expand these efforts.

The meeting touched on the danger of fake educational entities, their negative impact on the educational process and the labor market, and the necessity of taking deterrent measures that include tightening penalties, in cooperation between the concerned authorities to combat and reduce these entities. For his part, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, stressed the importance of human development, pointing out our need to look to the past and the future to evaluate the current situation, pointing out that rapid global changes, such as the Fourth Industrial Revolution and digital transformation, require a focus on innovation, as competition has become global. , not locally, and therefore educational content and teaching skills must be developed; To enable students to keep pace with these changes, in addition to the necessity of restructuring educational personnel to suit new global requirements, stressing the necessity of cooperation to achieve this vision and develop an educational system that keeps pace with future aspirations.

In his speech, the Minister of Labor explained the Ministry’s commitment to developing the vocational training system, noting the existence of a wide network of fixed and mobile centers spread across all governorates of the Republic, which work to qualify young people for the local and global labor market, explaining that current efforts focus on modernizing these centers and providing them with With the latest training programs, through cooperation with the private sector and the Training and Qualification Finance Fund, stressing the importance of the partnership with the Federation of Egyptian Industries and the “Ebdaa” initiative to develop training programs that meet the needs of the changing labor market, with the aim of restoring the position of the qualified Egyptian worker in global markets.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the attendees agreed to form a joint committee that includes representatives from the relevant ministries to carefully study the needs of the labor market and determine its priorities, to form the ministries’ visions in developing their programs to qualify graduates based on the results of this study, ensuring the suitability of education outcomes for the labor market.
