Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, held a meeting to discuss the final review of the school system and discipline regulations at the pre-university education stage. In preparation for issuing the ministerial decision in this regard.

Dr. Reda Hegazy confirmed that the school system and discipline regulations are specific to regulating the rights and duties of students and parents, and the responsibilities and powers of school employees; It aims to achieve student self-discipline inside and outside school, indicating that discipline in the Egyptian school represents an important priority that should go in parallel with other priorities of the educational process, such as developing curricula, integrating technology into education, and paying attention to school activities that help develop skills. Students and their abilities, and developing teaching methods.

Dr. Reda Hegazy explained that the school order and discipline regulation has a preventive and remedial approach, in order to create a safe and stimulating school environment, and create a state of discipline within the schools affiliated with the Ministry in the governorates.

The Minister also indicated that the Ministry is in the process of issuing a ministerial decision regarding the school discipline regulation and circulating it to educational directorates and departments for implementation in the new academic year scheduled to begin on September 30.

The Minister reviewed the basic foundations on which the school discipline regulations depend, the most important of which is working to protect the child, as it is a basic right guaranteed by the law, and looking at the desired practices in schools as a means and a necessary condition for achieving effective learning. The process of providing and developing an effective school system is the responsibility of everyone involved in the educational process, in addition to implementing developmental, preventive and remedial measures to reduce problems of indiscipline, within a collaborative, participatory social framework, in addition to paying attention to the rights of students to a decent life, growth, learning and respect, and taking into account differences. Individualism among students, attention to students with special needs, knowledge of the reasons that lead to the emergence of behavioral problems in school as a basic requirement for addressing these problems and reducing their effects, and clear announcement of the instructions of the school discipline system to students, parents, and all those related to the educational process before taking any action. .

During the meeting, the provisions of the school system and discipline regulations were reviewed, which included the formation of protection committees and their competencies, including the school protection committee, the protection sub-committee in the educational administration, and the central protection committee in the Education Directorate, in addition to the rights, duties and responsibilities in accordance with the school system and discipline regulations, and the duties and responsibilities of the specialist. Social studies, the duties and responsibilities of the psychologist, the responsibilities and powers of teachers, as well as the rights and duties of students and parents.

Educational interventions and remedial procedures were also reviewed, which included monitoring violations, dividing them into levels, and presenting several ways to address them.
