Minister of Immigration: The state is keen to complete its children abroad for the current school year

Minister of Education: We will address the Kuwaiti embassy to discuss the exams for Egyptian students studying in the Kuwaiti education system

Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, received Ambassador Nabila Makram Abdel-Shaheed, Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, to discuss the possibility of taking exams for Egyptian students studying in Kuwait and who are currently in Egypt due to their inability to return during that period due to the closure procedures applied by the state Sister Kuwait.

For her part, Ambassador Nabila Makram, Minister of Immigration, affirmed the Egyptian state’s keenness on the interest of Egyptian students studying abroad, and it takes all ways to cooperate with all concerned authorities in order to complete the academic year for them, by conducting exams for Egyptian students studying abroad and who are in Egypt during this period, and who are unable to They return to the country in which they are abroad.

The Minister of Immigration stated that a number of Egyptian students in Kuwait have returned with their families to Egypt during the last period, but they are unable to return to Kuwait during the current period to take their exams, as a result of applying a number of precautionary measures, including the closure of airlines.

The Minister of Immigration added that the students who are currently in Egypt and are unable to return to Kuwait, are divided into two groups, the first of them among the Egyptian students abroad studying in the Egyptian system, while the other group includes Egyptian students studying in the Kuwaiti education system, which requires work to conduct exams for each category separately according to its requirements and according to Joint coordination with the sisterly State of Kuwait.

For his part, Minister of Education, Dr. Tariq Shawky, said that the ministry will start preparing for exams for the category of Egyptian students in Kuwait who are studying in the Egyptian education system and who are currently in Egypt due to the conditions of the Corona pandemic, and work and coordination will be made with the Ministry of Immigration to prepare a list of data for this category, to limit their number and to know the school years. For each of them, and then set a date for the exams during the next few period, according to the precautionary measures taken by the Ministry of Education to conduct exams in the different classrooms.

The Minister of Education added that the ministry will address the Kuwaiti embassy in Cairo, regarding the mechanisms for examining the Egyptian students in the Kuwaiti education system, who are currently in Egypt, provided that the exams are conducted according to the Kuwaiti education system, and in full coordination with the Kuwaiti embassy in Cairo.

He stressed that the Egyptian state provided everything necessary in the context of facilitating the Egyptian students abroad studying in the Egyptian education system, and who are present in various countries of the world during the current period, to take exams for the different academic years, by relying on the latest testing methods.
