Education signed a protocol of cooperation with the Mountain View Foundation for Development to discover and nurture talented people
Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, witnessed the activities of signing a cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and the Mountain View Foundation for Development to discover the gifted in schools in the governorates of the Republic and sponsor the gifted in 45 villages of “Haya Karima” villages in the Itsa Center in Fayoum Governorate in the scientific, artistic and sports fields.
The protocol was signed by Dr. Randa Shaheen, Head of the Central Administration for Public Education, and Ms. Rasha El-Gamal, Secretary General of the “Mountain View” Foundation for Development, in the presence of Major General Abu Bakr Al-Jundi, former Minister of Local Development and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the “Mountain View” Foundation for Development, and Dr. Sherine Hamdy, Advisor to the Minister for Administrative Development and Supervisor. The central administration for the affairs of the minister's office, and Ms. Radwa Ahmed, member of the Board of Trustees and CEO of the Foundation.
In his speech, Dr. Reda Hegazy welcomed the attendees, expressing his happiness in cooperating with the "Mountain View" Foundation for Development in supporting and developing the educational system, stressing that education is a nation's issue and it is the responsibility of all public, private and civil institutions and institutions working in the fields of education and sustainable development, and that "life is Karima is a presidential initiative aimed at alleviating the burdens of citizens in poor rural communities and slums in urban areas through a range of service, developmental and productive activities. .
He pointed out that in light of the strategic direction of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education to support the talented and distinguished in all fields, especially in the most needy areas in the governorates of the Republic, as well as cooperation with the civil society to develop the educational process and create a general positive situation in the Egyptian society and encourage the participation of local communities in building the human being and raising the value of Al-Watan, pointing out that the ministry welcomes cooperation with civil society institutions that work to upgrade and advance the education system in Egypt, and participate in sustainable development processes in the social, cultural, educational, health and economic fields.
Dr. Al-Wazir pointed out that the Ministry adopted the "Discover Your Son" initiative, and forms were designed for the student, guardian and teacher to answer to discover the talents and abilities of students in the fields of science, technology, arts, culture and sports, and to continue to implement them in the summer during summer activities.
In his speech, Major General Abu Bakr Al-Jundi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the "Mountain View" Foundation for Development, said: "The cooperation protocol signed with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education comes within the framework of the Foundation's vision to discover and support talented people in all fields, explaining that the protocol includes activating a program to discover talented people." Through experts specialized in the scientific, cultural and sports fields in the villages of the presidential initiative "A Decent Life" and giving opportunities to these talented people to highlight and develop these talents.
Al-Jundi added that the Mountain View Foundation for Development aims, as a first stage, to implement its program to discover gifted students in schools in 45 villages of “Hayat Karima” in the Itsa Center in Fayoum Governorate in the scientific, artistic and sports fields through the conclusion of many partnerships with governmental and private agencies interested in these social issues. To achieve its goals to support the gifted and ensure their continued excellence so that they become successful examples and leaders in their fields of work. The program also aims to encourage teachers to take care of these talented people, in addition to supporting their families to be able to provide them with the appropriate conditions for their continued excellence.
Under the cooperation protocol, the two parties agreed to make joint efforts to contribute to achieving the goals of the "Decent Life" initiative, Egypt's Vision 2030, and the Ministry of Education and Technical Education's strategy to discover and develop talented people.
The Ministry of Education and Technical Education will provide a database of schools in the targeted villages, provide correct databases on students and teachers in the targeted schools at the level of educational directorates and departments, coordinate with schools to adhere to action plans and facilitate the work of the institution, encourage teachers to participate, facilitate competitions between schools, and provide Administration facilities and schools available for carrying out the activities, and education city facilities in October to hold camps and qualifying competitions.
The Mountain View Development Foundation will also assess the current status of artistic, sports and scientific activities in the targeted schools, develop and design annual work plans in cooperation with the Ministry, establish partnerships with specialized advisory bodies in the technical, sports and scientific fields of work of the protocol, and implement interactive activities that achieve the goals of the protocol, and the institution will bear the burdens Financial for the implementation of the activities of the protocol in accordance with the plan that achieves the common goals of the two parties
