Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education signed a joint cooperation protocol with the Misr Biotechnology Company (MTBI) and the Charitable National Investment Fund for Education (Education is Life) to establish the Misr Bio School for Applied Technology, which specializes in the fields of biotechnology industries.

The protocol was signed by Professor Dr. Mohamed Megahed, Deputy Minister of Education for Technical Education for Technical Education, Dr. Alaa Barakat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Misr Biotechnology Company (MTBI), and Professor Ashraf Negm, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Charitable National Investment Fund for Education (Education is Life), in the presence of Dr. Amr Basila, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Charitable Investment Fund for Education. The Central Administration for the Development of Technical Education and the Director of the Applied Technology Schools Operation and Management Unit, and Dr. Ghada Al-Nashar, Executive Director of the Charitable National Investment Fund for Education.

Dr. Mohamed Megahed said that the Misr Bio-Technology School for Applied Technology will specialize in the fields of bio-industry technology, in cooperation with the Misr Bio-Industrial Technology Company (MTBI), through which work will be done to provide students with the competencies needed by the local, regional and international labor market. He also pointed out that Egypt is a young country and therefore Investing in youth is an investment with a 100 percent interest return, and there is an increase in demand for graduates of technical education, which is increasing annually, especially from Germany, Canada, and the European Union.

For his part, Dr. Amr Basila pointed out that there are 70 schools of applied technology in Egypt’s governorates, with many specializations that are being applied for the first time, such as the fields of clean energy, the pot industry, sustainable tourism, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, surveillance and alarm, and digital games. Jewelry manufacturing technology, financial services marketing, palm farming, 3D printing, retail trade, agricultural engineering, food processing, pharmaceutical industries, quality control and logistics.

For his part, Dr. Alaa Barakat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Misr Biotechnology Company (MTBI), expressed his happiness at signing the protocol to launch the Misr Biotechnology School for Applied Technology, and his pride in the efforts made by the Egyptian state in all sectors, especially the education sector, stressing that the company has an ambition to increase The school's specializations will soon serve many sectors, the most important of which is the pharmaceutical sector.

Mr. Ashraf Negm, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Charitable Investment Fund for Education, indicated that the “Education is Life” Fund is honored to partner in this school alongside the Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the Egypt Biotechnology Factory, which is the only factory in Egypt, the Middle East and Africa specialized in This sector, as the partnership with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education aims to prepare and graduate highly qualified cadres to work in this strategic field and achieve the state’s vision of reforming the technical education system, indicating that the school will not be the last, as the “Education Life” National Charitable Fund is keen to expand the model.
