Deputy Minister of Education Participates in the Conference of the Islamic World Educational
On behalf of Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Ayman Bahaa El-Din, Deputy Minister of Education, participated in the Conference of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) for Ministers of Education in Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman, under the title "Outcomes of the High-Level Ministerial Meeting, London, May 2024 Transforming Education from Obligations to Applications", which was held from (2 to 3) October 2024.
Dr. Ayman Bahaa El-Din, Deputy Minister, delivered Egypt's speech at the second general session of the conference on the uses of modern technologies and artificial intelligence in pre-university education.
During his speech, Dr. Ayman Bahaa El-Din, Deputy Minister, explained the actual steps taken by Egypt towards the digital transformation of education since 2018 and the Ministry's vision on integrating artificial intelligence technologies into education development tools in Egypt, focusing on the development of curricula, building electronic platforms, providing infrastructure for secondary schools, and training teachers.
The Deputy Minister also spoke about the future outlook and the role of teachers and learners in light of the amazing development and the status of the Arabic language and modern sciences in developing and solving the problems of artificial intelligence and its economic and social impact.
It is worth noting that the 3rd ISESCO Conference of Ministers of Education, which will be held in the Sultanate of Oman during the period (2-3) October 2024, is an embodiment of the organization's firm commitment to the issue of education by mobilizing global and national education leaders to discuss and adopt policy guidelines based on various research analytical reports and important policy papers that are fully committed to addressing the challenges facing its member states in their efforts to provide quality and equitable education.
The overall objective of the conference is to facilitate a meaningful dialogue among senior officials in the education policy-making system, and to shed light on the challenges and possibilities available for making informed decisions capable of overcoming the unprecedented challenges facing the international community.
