The Minister of Education and the Governor of Giza inspect the Al-Mutamadiya School for Girls Dr. Reda Hegazy directs to disburse 10 000 to the injured and to pay for their treatment expenses

As part of the follow-up to the incident of Al-Mutamadiya Preparatory School for Girls in Kerdasa administration, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Major General Ahmed Rashid, Governor of Giza, inspected this morning the school, which witnessed the collapse of the “brick” staircase fence, which led to the death of a student and 15 other injuries. .

The Minister decided to disburse an amount of 10,000 pounds to the injured students, to cover the costs of treatment, and to exempt the injured students from school expenses. About the incident, in addition to the investigations launched by the Public Prosecution regarding criminal responsibility.
The minister directed the legal affairs of the ministry to follow up the investigations work in the school, and to review all reports related to the safety of buildings and the maintenance reports that were conducted for the school during the last period.
The Minister instructed the Director of the Education Directorate in Giza to offer condolences to the family of the deceased student.
