"Education" and "Nahdat Misr" sign a cooperation protocol to launch the Nahdet Misr School for Applied Technology
Today, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, witnessed the signing of a protocol for the establishment of the Nahdet Misr School for Applied Technology to support the rehabilitation and development of labor skills in the sustainable tourism and hotel sectors.
The protocol was signed by Dr. Mohamed Megahed, Deputy Minister of Education for Technical Education Affairs, and Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nahdet Misr Publishing Group, in the presence of a number of leaders of technical education in the ministry, and leaders of Nahdet Misr Publishing Company.
Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, expressed his happiness at signing this protocol, pointing to the ministry’s efforts to develop and improve the quality of technical education and its outputs from qualified and trained technical workers on the latest technologies applied in various countries of the world, which makes the student qualified To fully join the labor market upon graduation, which will contribute significantly to reducing the unemployment rate in Egypt and raising the wheel of industrial development, which in turn will affect the national economy.
Hegazy stressed that the ministry pays great attention to both technical and general education, and seeks to implement the Egyptian state’s vision 2030, which aims to provide education and training for all with high quality without discrimination, and within the framework of an institutional system, efficient, fair, sustainable, flexible, and based on the learner. A trainee who is capable of thinking and who is technically, technically and technologically proficient.
In this regard, Dr. Mohamed Megahed, Deputy Minister of Education and Technical Education, said that this protocol aims to develop the Al-Haram Secondary Hotel School, which is affiliated with the Al-Haram Educational Administration, in Giza Governorate, and transform it into the Nahdet Misr School for Applied Technology, which will start the study in the 2023 academic year. 2024, and the school will include a vocational training center that will provide training programs, professional courses and diplomas for new professions and multiple disciplines, and the school curricula will be developed according to the merit system, providing training opportunities for students in the field of school specialization, and financial rewards during practical training periods, in addition to providing guidance and employment services for students During the study period, providing technical training at the highest level for teachers, and financial incentives related to performance.
Megahed explained that preparatory students will be allowed to apply for admission to the Al-Haram Hotel Secondary School, starting from the 2023-2024 academic year, and to apply for admission to the Nahdet Misr School for Applied Technology, while preserving the right of all students of the Al-Haram Hotel School to complete their studies until they are fully graduated from the school. The school and their obtaining a diploma, and no student of the school will be transferred to any other school, as all students are equal in the eyes of the Ministry, regardless of the educational system to which they belong.
In a related context, Dr. Amr Basileh, Head of the Central Administration for the Development of Technical Education and Director of the Operation and Management Unit for Applied Technology Schools, said that Nahdet Misr School for Applied Technology located in Giza Governorate is the 42nd school in the system of applied technology schools, and is the first applied technology school specialized in the field of tourism. Sustainable tourism, which has become a global trend pursued by many tourist countries, where sustainable tourism is based on meeting the needs of tourists, industry, environment and host communities, optimal use of environmental and natural resources, preserving the environment, helping to preserve natural heritage and biological diversity, and respecting the social and cultural authenticity of the host communities. and achieving viable long-term economic operations.
He pointed out that the ministry is striving to include new disciplines that are applied for the first time in Egypt in technical education schools. Similar to sustainable tourism, there are applied technology schools specialized in the field of artificial intelligence, animal and poultry production, jewelry and jewelry-making technology, electricity, car maintenance and repair, mechatronics, communications and information technology. And other specializations needed by the Egyptian labor market.
