The Ministry of Education Launches the Closing Ceremony of the Ninth Arab Reading Challenge

Under the patronage of Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education launched the closing ceremony of the ninth round of the Arab Reading Challenge competition in Egypt. The ceremony honored the winning students nationwide, as well as the outstanding supervisors participating in the competition for the 2024/2025 academic year, at the Al Manara International Conference Center Theater.
The Ministry of Education and Technical Education was represented by Dr. Ayman Bahaa, Deputy Minister of Education; Dr. Iman Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Student Activities; Dr. Zainab Nour El Din Mashhour, Director General of the General Administration of Libraries and General Coordinator of the Arab Reading Challenge at the Ministry of Education; and a number of ministry leaders and directors of education directorates.
Also in attendance were Mr. Abdul Basit Al Marzouqi, Chargé d'Affaires of the UAE Embassy, Mr. Fawzan Al Khalidi, Director of Programs and Initiatives at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation, and representatives of the UAE delegation.
Dr. Ayman Bahaa El Din, Deputy Minister for Technical Education, delivered a speech on behalf of Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, expressing his happiness with the growing success of this distinguished project. He emphasized that this project, which is highly appreciated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, and Ruler of Dubai, works to encourage students in the Arab world to read and build knowledge, which is the foundation of any true civilization.
The Deputy Minister of Education emphasized the great importance achieved by the Arab Reading Challenge competition in Egypt year after year, pointing out that this increasing turnout, which this year reached more than 17 million male and female students representing more than 30,000 schools, clearly reflects the level of our students and their outstanding ability to compete in global cultural and intellectual competitions. He added that this competition has come to satisfy our students’ passion for knowledge and culture, which makes it imperative for us to continue encouraging and motivating them, because investing in their knowledge and culture will positively impact the growth of our country and build a generation that is intellectually and scientifically qualified to face the challenges of the future.
