The Minister of Education follows up on the activities of the third day of the North African Schools League Championship
Minister of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Reda Hegazy, attended the third day of the North African Schools League Championship, at the 30th of June Stadium, which is held in cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Confederation of African Football and the Egyptian Sports Federation.
The minister was keen to talk with the students participating in the tournament, calling on the students to show a sportsmanship during the tournament competitions, noting that this is the real goal of the combined tournaments.
Dr. Reda Hegazy explained that the state is interested in encouraging the discovery of talents and nurturing the talented, including sports activities and striving to develop the capabilities of young people.
Today’s tournament activities witnessed the establishment of a number of matches for boys’ teams, and the results were as follows: “Mohamed Al-Gharawi School (Morocco) 0 x 3 Wreaths School Tripoli (Libya), Blawich Boumerdes School (Algeria) 1 x 1 Sawada School (Egypt), and Wreaths Tripoli School (Egypt), and Wreaths School Tripoli (Libya) x Blawiche Boumerdes School (Algeria), Sawada School (Egypt) 0 x 5 Hedi Ayadi School (Sfax).
As for the female students’ competitions, the results were as follows: “Majda Al-Sarfi School (Egypt) 0 × 2 Laroui School in Sousse (Tunisia), Ibn Battuta School (Algeria) 0 × 6, Ibn Al-Khattab School in Rabat (Morocco), and Laroui School in Sousse (Tunisia) 4 × 0. Ibn Battuta School (Algeria) and Omar Ibn Al-Khattab School (Morocco) 6 x 0 Al Karama School for Girls (Libya).
The activities of the third day were attended by Mahmoud Hammami, Secretary-General of the North African Football Confederation, Abdel Hakim El Shalemani, President of the North African Football Confederation, and Jeresin Sina Dimlo, Director of the Schools Championships Department of the Confederation of African Football.
On the Egyptian side, Dr. Eman Hassan, head of the Central Department for Student Activities and Vice-President of the Egyptian and Arab Federation for School Sports, Gamal Allam, President of the Football Association, Walid Al-Attar, Executive Director of the Football Association, Hatem Sorour, General Coordinator of the Championship, and Dr. Jihan Allam, Director General of the General Department of Physical Education and Major General Samir Abdel Mohsen, director of the Air Defense Stadium.
