Minister of Education on an inspection tour of a number of schools in North Sinai
As part of his ongoing tours to follow up on the educational process in various governorates of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Major General Dr. Khaled Megawer, Governor of North Sinai, conducted an inspection tour today in a number of schools in North Sinai Governorate; to follow up on the regularity of the school year.
The Minister was accompanied during his visit by Dr. Ahmed Al-Mohammadi, Assistant Minister for Strategic Planning and Follow-up, Hamza Radwan, Director of the Education Directorate in North Sinai Governorate, and a number of Sinai sheikhs.
The Minister and the Governor began their visit to North Sinai Governorate by inaugurating the development and upgrading works of the "Martyr Ghanem Shabana Primary School" in Bir al-Abd City, which includes (410) male and female students. The "Misr El Kheir Foundation", with funding from the National Bank of Egypt, carried out comprehensive maintenance of the school as a model of community participation and contribution from civil society institutions that contributed significantly to the maintenance and equipping of the school.
The Minister of Education and the Governor of North Sinai inspected the school's classrooms, and the Minister was keen to check on the students' academic level in reading and writing, and to ensure the regularity of weekly assessments, and to review the class notebooks and homework.
The Minister also praised a number of the school's teachers due to the students' keenness to perform their homework and follow up on the class notebooks.
During their visit to the school, the Minister and the Governor also inspected the science lab, the computer lab and the school library, and they also witnessed a heritage show.
