The Ministry of Education announces the opening of applications for admission to the Egyptian-German School (October Branch)
The Ministry of Education and Technical Education announces the opening of applications for admission to the Egyptian-German School – October Branch, for the 2026-2027 academic year, specifically for the first stage of Kindergarten (KG1), for a period of 15 days, starting from Thursday, January 1, 2026, until Thursday, January 15, 2026.
The Ministry emphasizes that applications will be accepted exclusively through the designated electronic link. Applications submitted through any other means or outside the announced timeframe will not be accepted, in accordance with the principle of equal opportunity for all applicants.
The Ministry notes that the Egyptian-German Schools offer an integrated educational system from kindergarten through the end of secondary school. This system combines the Egyptian curriculum with German language and culture education, in accordance with internationally recognized standards.
The curriculum is taught in multiple languages, with German being the primary language of instruction. Arabic, religious education, and Egyptian social studies are also emphasized to preserve national identity. English or French are offered as a second language starting in the second grade, while mathematics and science are taught in English.
According to established regulations, Egyptian-German schools offer students the opportunity to obtain a German language certificate accredited by the Goethe Institute upon passing the required tests. Upon graduation, students receive an Egyptian General Secondary Education Certificate or the Egyptian Baccalaureate.
These schools operate on a full-day schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and implement modern, interactive curricula designed to develop critical thinking, teamwork, initiative, environmental awareness, and technological skills, in addition to emphasizing healthy nutrition.
The Ministry notes that applications are limited to the first stage of kindergarten (KG1), in accordance with the approved terms and conditions, primarily meeting the specified age range for this educational stage. Selection will be based on the applicants' ages as of October 1, 2026, and on the results of personal interviews with the students, within the framework of the initiative's approved phased implementation plan.
