Within the framework of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education’s interest in promoting positive values, focusing on the Arabic language as a cultural and knowledge vessel, paying attention to the emerging generations of young people, and motivating them to pay attention to knowledge and contribute to enriching the future literary scene with writers and creators, under the auspices of Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education Mrs. Ilham Ibrahim, head of the services and activities sector and general supervisor of the competition, witnessed the honoring of the winning students in the "Omar Al-Farouq" short story competition at the Student Union in Agouza.

In the presence of the writer Farouk Abdullah, the sponsor of the competition, Mr. Ahmed Moussa, the general leader for students of the Republic schools, Mr. Ahmed Al-Masry, the head of the central administration of the exploratory complexes and centers, Ms. Rasha Farouk, a member of the jury, and the parents of the winning students.

In her speech, Mrs. Ilham Ibrahim expressed her happiness at attending this celebration, praising the outstanding work of the students, which embodied the good values ​​of society and the development of a sense of patriotism and constructive ideas.

She emphasized the orientation of the political leadership to discover talents, nurture them, support them literaryly and maintain their continuity. She directed the students to adhere to the rules of the Arabic language, which is rich in its many vocabulary, and to pay attention to the activities of the school library and to keep reading in all fields to gain knowledge and develop culture; To form a generation of innovators representing Egypt in the world.

In his speech, the writer Farouk Abdullah, the sponsor of the competition, indicated that this competition is an important cultural event, in which students from the depth of Egyptian society participate with their creativity of interesting stories that varied in various aspects of life and the struggle of the Egyptian family, expressing in it their delicate sense of their ideas and dreams, and invites us to Reading, meditating and thinking.

In the same context, Mr. Ahmed Moussa, the general leader for students in Al-Gomhouria schools, emphasized the interest in literature among school students, which shapes the students' personality and develops their creative abilities. Personal development brings new additions to it.

The jury represented by Professor Ilham Ibrahim, head of the services and activities sector, and writer Farouk Abdullah, the sponsor of the competition, awarded prizes to the winning students from all educational directorates at the level of the Republic.
