Minister of Education Approves First-Term Technical Diploma Results for 2025, with Pass Rate (70.47%))

Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, today approved the results of the first-term technical diploma exams for the 2024/2025 academic year.

The Minister emphasized that technical education is Egypt's true future and a key pillar of comprehensive development and Egypt Vision 2030, given its pivotal role in preparing technically and professionally qualified cadres for the local and international labor market. He noted the Ministry's continued expansion of applied technology schools and the development of curricula in cooperation with industrial partners.

The Minister of Education thanked all technical education staff, students, and parents for their tangible efforts throughout the academic year and their commitment to attending school to receive practical training and theoretical lessons according to the curriculum.

The Minister also commended the success of technical education in achieving the planned goals set out in the Technical Education Development Strategy. One of the results of this academic year was evident in the diploma exam—for the fourth time—with the participation of labor market representatives and Ministry of Education teachers on the final evaluation committees for students studying the developed study programs, based on the professional competencies methodology required by the labor market. Thus, technical education's relationship with the labor market has become stronger and more closely linked.

The Minister also commended the smooth running of the practical, laboratory, and written exams for technical diplomas during the period from May 22 to June 23, 2025, for which 849,533 students took the exams in 2,648 committees.

For his part, Dr. Ayman Mohamed Bahaa El-Din, Deputy Minister of Education and Technical Education, explained that the results of technical diplomas have unique characteristics, as the names of technical education certificates vary, reaching a total of 24. This is due to the multiplicity of specializations (industrial, agricultural, commercial, and hotel), the existence of two study systems (3 years, 5 years), and the existence of more than one study method (the dual education and training system, vocational preparation, and applied technology). The Deputy Minister announced the key results as follows:

- 5-year system: 18,938 students attended (4 certificates), with a success rate of 89.66%.

- 3-year system: 497,952 students attended (4 certificates), with a success rate of 63.59%.

- 3-year system: Dual education and training: 10,123 students attended (4 certificates), with a success rate of 84.67%.
