Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, visited Al-Nas Children’s Hospital, in the Shubra Al-Kheima area in Qalyubia Governorate, where he was received and accompanied during his visit by Professor Hatem Al-Mulla, Executive Director of Al-Nas Hospital, and Brigadier General Mustafa Fayed, Director of Security and Projects.
Dr. Reda Hegazy stressed that the Egyptian state pays great attention to the fields of health and education, noting that what we are witnessing now on the ground at Al-Nas Hospital confirms this trend, through its capacity, capacity, modern equipment, and doctors from all over the world, and performing rare surgical operations for children.

The Minister added that the Ministry of Education is working to implement presidential initiatives in cooperation with the Ministry of Health. To achieve a better level of health for our students.

The Minister also praised this great edifice, thanking and appreciating the management of Al-Nas Hospital for all the efforts and distinguished medical services provided to patients, and focusing on capacity building and professional development for its doctors and employees, which confirms the continuous development and sustainability in providing health services to children and citizens, in accordance with the best health quality standards. .

He also expressed his pride in the existence of this model of hospitals based on humanitarian work and civil society participation.

During his visit, the Minister was briefed on the progress of work in the hospital’s various departments, as it provides its services free of charge in the specializations of heart surgeries and birth defects for children.

During his visit, the Minister inspected the children's rooms and was assured of the level of medical services provided to them. He also praised the efforts made by the hospital and the medical services provided free of charge to the children, appreciating the efforts of the hospital's medical teams.

The Minister also inspected the intensive care room, which includes the latest equipment in the Middle East, and modern radiology units. He also saw the latest medical equipment in the hospital.

During the visit, the Minister inspected some medical cases of children preparing for surgery and others in the post-operative recovery phase.

During the visit, the Minister also checked on the Palestinian children who were being treated in the hospital along with their brothers from Egypt, and also checked on the psychological and moral support being provided to them.

It is worth noting that Al-Nas Hospital is a charitable hospital and provides all its services free of charge. Its area is 30,000 square meters, including 7 floors, with a capacity of 600 beds. It also includes 10 operating rooms, 140 intensive care units, 4 cardiac catheterization units, and 48 outpatient clinics. The hospital was opened in 2019, and more than 20,000 cases have been treated through the hospital’s outpatient clinics, in addition to more than 7,000 operations having been performed so far.
