The Minister revealed that the scientific and cognitive content of secondary school classes has been redesigned and distributed in a balanced manner, so that it does not cause a cognitive burden on students.

In the new year, first-year secondary school students study six subjects, instead of ten subjects that their counterparts studied last year, as the prescribed curricula were redesigned so that the second foreign language became a subject for passing and failing outside the total, and the (Integrated Sciences) curriculum is applied for the first time instead of the chemistry and physics curricula. The subject of geography will also be redesigned to be eliminated from the study in the first year of secondary school, and become a subject allocated to the literary section in the following year. Thus, the subjects that the students of the first year of general secondary school will study in the new year will be the subjects of (Arabic language - first foreign language - history - mathematics). - Integrated Sciences - Philosophy and Logic), in addition to subjects not added to the total (Religious Education - Second Foreign Language), which are pass and fail subjects.

The Minister confirmed that the process of redesigning the content was based on scientific rules with the review of specialized experts, and that a community dialogue was conducted regarding it with experts, teachers, directors of educational departments, the Board of Trustees, parents and teachers, and a number of media professors specialized in the education file, and it also received a large acceptance rate. ; Because of its impact in reducing the burden on the Egyptian family, without neglecting the knowledge that the students will study.

Abdul Latif pointed out that limited amendments were made to the curricula of the second and third grades of secondary school, in light of the learning outcomes, taking into account the absence of repetition in the content, careful scientific review, and updating what should be updated, in addition to integrating the knowledge or learning outcomes that could be combined, which resulted in About making the second foreign language a subject for success and failure outside the total, and taking advantage of its study periods to strengthen and increase the periods for the first foreign language, in addition to redesigning the mathematics subject to be one subject, so that the subjects that students will study in the second year of secondary school will be six subjects instead of eight subjects in Last year, these subjects for the scientific division will be (Arabic language - the first foreign language - mathematics - biology - chemistry - physics), and they will be implemented in the next academic year 2024/2025, provided that the subject of history will be added instead of biology in the next two academic years. .

The Minister also announced the subjects that students in the second year of secondary school, literary section, will study in the next academic year 2024/2025, which are (Arabic language - first foreign language - history - geography - psychology - mathematics).

The Minister revealed that the content of the third year of secondary school will be redesigned, starting from the next academic year 2024/2025, so that the subjects of the second foreign language, geology and environmental sciences will become among the passing and failing subjects that are not added to the total in the scientific division of science, and the second foreign language will become outside the total of the scientific division of mathematics. The mathematics subject will be redesigned to become one subject.
