On the occasion of Police Day The Minister of Education participates in the celebration of the "Egyptian Forum for the Development of National Values"
Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, participated in the celebration organized by the Egyptian Forum for the Development of National Values, on the occasion of the celebration of Police Day; During the ceremony, the minister also honored a number of families of police martyrs.
This came in the presence of Major General Mohamed Abdel Maqsoud, Head of the Crisis and Disaster Management and Risk Reduction Sector in the Council of Ministers and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Forum for the Development of National Values, Major General Ahmed Gad Mansour, former Assistant Minister of Interior, Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Turk, and a group of families of police martyrs.
At the beginning of his speech, Dr. Reda Hegazy expressed his happiness to participate in this celebration. And honoring the families of the police martyrs, offering greetings and congratulations to all the honorable Egyptian policemen on the anniversary of their feast, and their immortal heroism that they presented in defense of their land in the valiant city of Ismailia. He also expressed sincere appreciation and respect to the families of the heroic police martyrs who sacrificed their lives; sacrifice for their country.
Dr. Reda Hegazy sent a number of messages during the celebration, stressing that the ministry is working to bring about a comprehensive qualitative shift in the pre-university education system, through developing curricula, teaching and evaluation methods, and encouraging students to practice innovative and creative thinking skills, and learning through research. In an effort to create a generation of scholars and innovators, the ministry was also keen that education contribute to building the integrated Egyptian personality, in order to produce an enlightened, responsible, pluralistic generation that respects difference, takes pride in its country, and works to uphold its word and higher interests, adding that the ministry directed Its greatest interest is mainly towards the learner, as it is the focus of the educational process.
Dr. Reda Hegazy indicated that the ministry aims to expand learning processes at the expense of education, encourage the shift from memorization and indoctrination to innovation and creativity, focus on realizing major concepts, and exert efforts to focus on content and expand perceptions to develop the knowledge structure of students, which contributes to their real evaluation.
He also explained the ministry's keenness to move from the role of the indoctrinating teacher to the role of facilitator and trainer, focus on self-learning, and emphasize activity and practice, as effective educational inputs and strategies.
Dr. Al-Wazir added that the ministry is interested in teaching a book of values and respect for the other, which includes common lofty principles and values, promoting the values of citizenship, tolerance, acceptance of the other, consolidating the values of peace, equality in rights and duties, supporting the development of knowledge and skills, life values, and hard work, in addition to the ministry's focus. He focused on academic activities to develop the general taste of students and combat the methods of extremism and terrorism, stressing that education is a national responsibility.
The minister affirmed the ministry's keenness to provide the necessary attention and support to the families of the martyrs and their care, which includes exempting students from the children of martyrs in government schools from tuition fees, fees for services, and fees for participation in excursions and school groups, in addition to excluding them from the conditions for transferring from private education to public education at any time during the period. the academic year, in addition to excluding them from the condition of adhering to the residential block, and other facilities provided by the Ministry to them; In fulfillment of some of their rights over us.
Dr. Reda Hegazy concluded his speech by saying: "We look forward to the scholars, thinkers, and writers of my sons who are in different stages of education from the families of the martyrs, to join the ranks of the adults who play active roles in their societies, and make a difference in the history of their countries," adding that Nations prevail over science, invention, production, creativity, values, and sublime morals, all of which stems from those who represent role models and symbols in society.
