he Ministry of Education announces the launch of the national competition for young innovators
Within the framework of the directives of Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, to sponsor brilliant and innovative students, support them, and invest in their talents and motivation, to prepare a generation capable of keeping pace with technological development and scientific research, the Ministry’s General Administration of E-Training announced, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Daher, Deputy Minister for Technological Development, and with the support of The Central Administration for Technology Management and Operation, launching the national competition for young innovators from pre-university education students from all different types of schools in the Republic (from the first year of middle school to the second year of secondary school), tomorrow, Tuesday, May 7, 2014.
This competition, which is implemented by the General Administration of E-Training, comes in light of the cooperation between the Ministries of Education and Technical Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, represented by the Fund for Welfare of Innovators and Geniuses. To develop students’ scientific skills and improve their innovative thinking and entrepreneurship skills.
The Ministry of Education and Technical Education explained that the conditions for the competition include that the student be enrolled in one of the Egyptian schools (first year of middle school to second year of secondary school), and that each team consists of 2 to 4 members alongside the supervisor, and that participation be within the areas of the competition, and the work of a research plan. The project must be reviewed and approved by a specialized committee, provided that the student or team participates in the same governorate in which his school is located. In the event of submitting a group project from more than one governorate, participation in one of the governorates is permitted only once, and the project participating more than once is excluded.

The Ministry added that the competition will take place within the framework of five fields: “Energy”, which includes (physical energy “EGPH”, chemical energy “EGCH”), environment “Environment”, which includes (environmental engineering “ENEV”, environment and earth sciences “EAEV”), and robotics. Intelligent machines (ROBO), and software systems (Systems Software), including software engineering (SOFT), embedded systems (EBED), and artificial intelligence (AI).
