The Minister of Education and the President of the Senate witness a celebration of the winning students in the final qualifiers for the competition of top students at the level of the Republic
Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Counselor Abdel Wahab Abdel Razek, President of the Senate, and Head of the Future of the Watan Party, witnessed today a celebration of the winning students in the final qualifiers for the competition for top students at the level of the Republic, which is organized by the Future of the Nation Party, in cooperation with the Ministry, in the Education City On the sixth of October.
In the presence of Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Fayoum, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Deputy Minister for Teachers’ Affairs, Engineer Ashraf Rashad Al-Sharif, Majority Leader in the House of Representatives, First Deputy Chairman of the Party and Secretary-General, Dr. Sami Hashem, Head of the Education and Scientific Research Committee in the House of Representatives, and Dr. Magda Bakri, Deputy of the Education and Scientific Research Committee The House of Representatives, a group of members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, and a number of ministry leaders.
Dr. Tariq Shawky, in his speech, expressed his happiness with this celebration; To honor the winners of the finalists of the competition, and he welcomed the attendees, saying that this celebration today is the culmination of joint cooperation with the Future of the Nation Party in the field of education, support for outstanding students, and the discovery of talented people, which represents a shining image of community participation that we all seek to support in all possible ways.
The minister pointed out that the efforts exerted and the various activities undertaken by the party to serve the Egyptian society at various levels truly represent real support for the efforts of the Egyptian state in implementing the sustainable development strategy (Egypt 2030), and the efforts of the ministry in implementing the education strategy; and achieving the quality of the educational process.
The Minister affirmed that while recognizing that education is a national and solidarity responsibility; Success in achieving and advancing its objectives depends mainly on concerted governmental and non-governmental efforts at all levels, backed by a political will that adopts education as a national project with a high priority.
The Minister appreciated the fruitful efforts made by the Future of the Nation Party in implementing this distinguished competition, which proved its success and effective effect in enhancing the capabilities of our students, igniting the honorable competition among them, supporting communication, building trust, and exchanging experiences between schools.
The minister explained that the ministry is working with the unprecedented support and will of the political leadership to bring about a comprehensive qualitative shift in the pre-university education system, through the development of curricula, teaching methods and assessment, and encouraging students to practice innovative and creative thinking skills, and learning through research. In pursuit of creating a generation of scientists and innovators.
The minister added that the ministry was keen that education contribute to building the integrated Egyptian personality, in addition to that, the ministry directed its greatest attention to the learner mainly, as he is the focus of the educational process. Focusing on self-learning, emphasizing activity and practice, as effective educational approaches and strategies.
The Minister added that conducting this competition in an environment characterized by transparency, integrity and objectivity, would enhance the values of scientific excellence among our students, in addition to the values of loyalty, belonging, citizenship, cooperation, acceptance of others, and bearing responsibility, as well as supporting honest competition in the scientific and cultural fields. Among them, it unleashes the faculties of creativity and imagination, and motivates them to take an interest in general culture and global issues, especially that 75% of the competition questions directed to students include school curricula, and the remaining 25% are in general culture, and focus more on development projects. and national achievements, adding that students acquire many required skills such as: communication skills, leadership, teamwork, critical thinking skills, problem solving, and creative thinking skills.
The Minister addressed a speech to the winners, saying that we look forward to the emergence of scholars, thinkers and writers from among you; To join the ranks of adults who perform real services to their communities and make a difference in the history of their countries, asking them to think about their future lives with ambition, enthusiasm, passion, and to think outside the box.
At the conclusion of his speech, the Minister expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the distinguished party members for adopting this important initiative, and for their tireless efforts in sponsoring that competition, and the price of their real keenness to strengthen the partnership between the ministry and the esteemed party in various fields and educational activities. In order to improve the educational services provided to our students in all parts of Egypt, he also thanked all the educational leaders from the Ministry’s General Office, and the educational directorates that participated in the implementation of this competition, for their sincere efforts in this regard.
The Minister congratulated the schools that won the competition prizes, expressing his pride in our winning students.
In his speech, Counselor Abdel Wahab Abdel Razek, President of the Senate and Head of the Future of a Homeland Party, stressed that the renaissance we have reached in the field of education was the result of the interest and support of the political leadership and the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Republic, by paying attention to education and scientific research, noting that The only way to build the new republic, which is a great model for a developed country in all fields.
Counselor Abdel Wahab Abdel Razzaq confirmed that the initiative of the Future Homeland Party targeted more than 16,000 primary schools, more than 10,000 preparatory schools, and more than 2,400 public and private secondary schools, noting that the party set goals in the competition, which are to deepen students' interest in the homeland. Honest competition and acceptance of the other in all circumstances, the connection of students with the school and the teacher, training and thinking on team and cooperative work.
On behalf of the party, he expressed his thanks to Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, for the fruitful cooperation between the ministry and the Future of the Nation Party, stressing that through this competition, the students had the qualities of self-denial and focus on achieving goals, and we found this through the students’ application, and the impact They have enthusiasm, cooperation, interaction, and self-actualization among students.
He directed the necessity of supporting and directing political parties, headed by the Future of the Nation Party, on the need for balance and neutrality in the message of science and education and the provision of opportunities, so that they reach the students and among the people in a sound manner in order to reach the achievement of the sustainable vision 2030, and so that the citizen feels the message of science, education and the opportunities that have been set, and the great effort that is being made in The Ministry of Education and Technical Education, so that we can all reach safety and the new republic that future generations aspire to, and that puts Egypt in the position of developed countries.
For his part, Dr. Sami Hashem, Chairman of the Education and Scientific Research Committee in the House of Representatives, said, “We are pleased today to meet in this great event, which lasted for an entire academic year in all governorates of Egypt, until today we reached the final of the top students competition organized by the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and the Future Party.” Watan, and on behalf of the Education and Scientific Research Secretariat, he thanked everyone who participated and contributed to this competition. The celebration witnessed the final liquidation of the primary stage, and Port Said students won first place, and Damietta students won second place.
Fayoum governorate students won first place in the final qualifier for the preparatory stage, while Alexandria governorate students won second place.
At the conclusion of the celebration, the students were honored and prizes were distributed for this year’s competition, and each student in the first-place team was awarded a large financial prize, and a financial prize was awarded to each student in the second-place team, in addition to giving in-kind gifts to the winning school.
