the Ministry of Education and Technical Education held a press conference; To announce the details of the final preparations for the new academic year 2022-2023, to discuss the latest developments in the educational process, and to clarify the most important features of the next stage, which calls for the concerted efforts of all parties concerned with the education sector, and future directions aimed at developing the work of the Ministry.
Dr. Reda Hegazy expressed his happiness with this meeting, praising the pivotal and important role of media professionals in spreading awareness of the challenges facing the country, spreading facts, clarifying visions and refuting rumors, in order to advance the interest of the country, citizens and the future of our students, stressing the pivotal and supportive role of the media for the development of education in Egypt.
The minister explained that the Egyptian state has drawn up a plan for development, stressing that the ministry will work to complete this plan while correcting and amending some implementation mechanisms, noting that by 2027, development will have been completed in all stages of the educational process.
The minister stressed that the ministry seeks to provide a distinguished educational system; It will achieve the goals of sustainable development. The Ministry is also working to create an appropriate, good, safe and healthy environment for our students, teachers and all those involved in the educational process; To achieve a disciplined and safe new school year, the Minister congratulated the start of a new school year that fulfills the hopes of all students, stressing that the ministry aims to return the school to its social role in nurturing and preparing students for the future, and to be attractive and enjoyable for learning.
As for the shape of the new academic year, the minister emphasized the integration of technology into the academic program by achieving 25% of the views of educational channels in schools through the channel “Our School (1, 2, 3)” in the educational process, at various levels of education, through ( smart board, data show, or computers), which will contribute effectively to providing enough time; To engage in activities of all kinds: sports, cultural, artistic, scientific, and technological, and to contribute to discovering and sponsoring talented people, in cooperation with the Ministries of Youth, Sports and Culture.
With regard to the teacher, the minister stressed that the teacher is the lifeblood of the educational process, and the ministry is working to build the capacity of teachers and permanent professional development for them, because they are responsible for preparing our students for the future, and to be able to manage and produce knowledge, and to compete globally, whether in general education or technical education.
The Minister pointed out the importance of providing an appropriate work environment for teachers; It is distinguished by respect and appreciation, befits their distinguished position, and ensures that they perform their lofty message in an optimal manner, noting that in the celebration of Teacher's Day, a number of distinguished teachers who have inspiring stories will be honored during the celebration, and announcing the "I am the teacher" initiative, through which services will be provided to the teacher, Where teachers will be scored points according to their efficiency in performing their work, and these points will be converted into a "teacher's bond" that gives him great discounts when purchasing his supplies.
The Minister also announced the initiative of the President of the Republic to select and train 1,000 young teachers; To receive an outstanding training program to become school principals.
The minister stressed that the ministry is preparing a major project on the governance of private education and automation of the licensing process and school classification, noting that the ministry is cooperating with civil society and the private sector as a key partner in developing the educational process.
The Minister indicated that with regard to the year’s work in transport classes, the Minister explained that the year’s work for students starting from the sixth grade of primary school is divided as follows (5% for behavior, 5% for attendance, and 10% for a quick and short test prepared by the subject’s instructor and at the school level, to ensure governance, so that The student obtains the highest degree of the year’s work at the rate of two months per term for the transfer years); To ensure that the student studies first-hand and monitors points of excellence, addresses weaknesses and shortcomings and corrects the course, adding that the certificate that the student will obtain will reflect his grades, inclinations, trends and personal aspects.
Dr. Reda Hegazy noted the introduction of the research projects subject, which is scheduled for students starting from the sixth grade of primary school, (research for each semester); Its aim is to develop students’ research skills. It is a pass and pass subject that is not added to the total. It deals with national projects and achievements and the major challenges facing the state. It is implemented by the student in groups of 3 to 5 students so that the class leader is responsible for it, using a disclosure that explains the mechanisms and axes of development at the level The school also holds competitions through which the best projects are selected and the students who prepared them are honored.
As for the public high school, the minister explained that the Curriculum Development Center is preparing a student's guide in each subject, which contains activities, the link for lessons and study topics, and a description of the course, adding that students will have two models for exam training.

As for the exam specifications, the National Examinations Center prepares these specifications; In order for the student to be aware of the specifications of the exam paper for the general secondary school before the start of the school year, he indicated that the exam will be an open book, and the student can use the concept brochure prepared by the ministry, explaining that the exam paper includes multiple-choice questions and essay questions that do not exceed 15% of the exam according to The nature of each subject, and the student answers the multiple choice questions in the Babel Sheet, and the short essay questions are answered in the question book, adding that 5,000 teachers have been trained on the new system, teaching practices and how to prepare test vocabulary at this level.
The minister added that the correction will be done electronically and there will be no return to the human element in the correction, stressing that electronic correction centers will be available at the level of the Republic, pointing out that the answer form is a flexible model and contains levels of assessment Rubrics; To ensure the speed and objectivity of correction.
The minister indicated that the ministry is studying a draft law for the possibility of a high school diploma student repeating the full year, provided that this is in all subjects by mechanisms that take into account the principle of equal opportunities and in the interest of our students.
