Within the framework of the state’s interest in children with disabilities, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education announced the possibility of receiving children with multiple disabilities within the governorates of “Alexandria-Qena-Dakahlia-Sharqia” as of the new school year 2021/2022.
The ministry clarified that those who wish to apply in accordance with Ministerial Resolution No. 20 of 2019, must go to the Special Education Department of the educational directorates in the announced governorates.
The ministry indicated that the admission of blind students has been opened in 10 new schools in the administration of East Nasr City "Mustafa Kamal Primary / Preparatory School, "Hisham Azab Primary / Preparatory School, Abdulaziz Gawish Primary / Preparatory School", and in the Ain Shams Educational Administration "Al-Ansar Primary School" In the Sahel Educational Administration “Omar Makram Primary School”, in the Caliph and Mokattam Administration “Imam Al-Shafi’i Primary School, Mokattam School for Basic Education”, in the Waili Administration “Tur Sinai Primary School”, and in the Matariya Administration “Ali Ibn Abi Talib School”, And in the Zaytoun Department, "Hammamat Al-Qubba School", noting that these schools also receive children with visual disabilities or transfer from Al-Nour schools for the blind.
The ministry pointed out that schools will be rehabilitated to receive students, and workers will be trained in cooperation with civil society institutions, including the "Educational Institution for Integration in Cairo, the Association for the Integration of People with Disabilities for Community Development in Assiut", supported by the Ataa Fund.
