Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, held meetings with directors of educational departments in North Sinai Governorate, at the end of his visit to the governorate, in the presence of Major General Muhammad Abdel Fadil Shusha, Governor of North Sinai, Major General Yousry Salem, Assistant Minister for the Affairs of the General Authority for Educational Buildings, and Hamza Radwan, Director of the Education Directorate. and education in the province.

At the outset of the meeting, the minister welcomed the attendees, praising their role and the efforts they are making for the discipline and regularity of the educational process in the governorate.

During the meeting, the minister reviewed the ministry's efforts to develop the educational system in the governorate and highlighted the procedures for exams at the end of the academic year 2022/2023, as he confirmed that with regard to the questions related to the general secondary exams for this year, they will include multiple-choice questions at a rate of 85%, while the essay questions will not exceed 15%. %, adding that the exam takes place in the form of a bubble sheet, and the correction is done electronically.

Dr. Reda Hijazi added that the exam will focus on learning outcomes, and the questions are clear and specific, indicating that a committee of 10 experts will be formed to review the answer form before starting the electronic correction of the exam.

As for the committees for high school exams, Dr. Reda Hegazy confirmed that determining their locations is through the committee for exams and educational directorates, stressing that the ministry has put in place a number of strict procedures and controls to prevent cheating in the committees and not to use any aids to cheat, pointing out that it has been put in place Surveillance cameras in the committees, to monitor any attempts to cheat and stop them before they take place, and all this is for the benefit of students and the achievement of justice and equal opportunities.

In the same context, the minister stressed that the preparatory exams committees are fully secured to prevent fraud, while making sure to prepare the committees, especially in North Sinai, for the convenience of students while performing the exams, sending a message to the students to diligently study, and stressing that the ministry works for what is in the interest of its students. .

On the other hand, the Minister emphasized that the support groups that have been implemented are for the benefit of the student and the teacher, as the Minister confirmed that the mechanisms and controls governing the implementation of the support groups have been put in place; To improve the academic level of students, with an appropriate financial fee to reduce the burden on parents and consider it optional in the study materials for students at the level of the educational administration for the preparatory and general secondary certificates, pointing out that the fees for the groups are determined through a committee of the boards of trustees and educational departments according to the nature of each region.

Dr. Reda Hegazy also stressed the need to provide activities that achieve the principles of the presidential initiative, companions "capable of differently" through the practical application of sign language skills, after the Ministry circulated guiding boards to all schools in the Republic with the most frequently used signs for deaf and mute students accompanied by a QR code that shows the movement of the sign. .

The Minister also indicated, during the meeting, that some activities will be added, starting from the primary stage, including introducing students to the symbols of hieroglyphic writing, with the aim of promoting the dissemination of the culture of learning about the ancient Egyptian civilization.

The minister praised the schools he visited today, and also touched on the Al-Tuloul Marine School, which is being established due to the region's need for such kind of education and the graduation of students trained to exploit the shores of Sinai, which provides new job opportunities.

He added that the ministry was keen on the presence of an Egyptian-Japanese school in the governorate, and the governorate will be provided with an international official school, in addition to the establishment of Egypt’s distinguished schools in the governorate during the next academic year, in which studies will take place on a full-day basis.
