"Education" signs a cooperation protocol to launch an applied technology school in Minya
the Ministry of Education and Technical Education signed a cooperation protocol with the El-Anany Foundation for Human Development to establish Mahmoud El-Anany School for Applied Technology in Minya Governorate, which is specialized in animal production, orchards, agricultural mechanization, food processing and agricultural crops.
The protocol was signed by Dr. Muhammad Mujahid, Deputy Minister of Technical Education, Eng. Mahmoud Al-Anani, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Al-Anani Foundation for Human Development, and Ashraf Negm, Chairman of the Council of the “Education is Life” National Charitable Fund.
Dr. Muhammad Mujahid, Deputy Minister of Education for Technical Education Affairs, said that this protocol comes within the framework of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education's plan to develop priority sectors in the field of agricultural technical education, in order to qualify trained and qualified technical workers, and provide specialized training; To serve the labor market, and to provide the trainees with the necessary needs to learn a profession that qualifies them to achieve an appropriate financial income and added value, through accredited certificates; To be able to compete, achieve development, and a real renaissance for Egypt.
Mujahid explained that Mahmoud El-Anany School of Applied Technology in Minya Governorate will specialize in many agricultural fields, such as animal production, orchards, agricultural mechanization, food processing, and agricultural crops, noting that the state pays great attention to developing the agricultural sector as a fundamental pillar for building the national economy. The state is working to increase investments directed to the agricultural sector and to implement major national agricultural projects.
Dr. Amr Basileh, Head of the Central Administration for the Development of Technical Education, and Director of the Operation and Management Unit for Applied Technology Schools, expressed his happiness with the establishment of Mahmoud El-Anany School for Applied Technology in Minya Governorate, referring to the Ministry’s plan to increase the number of applied technology schools in Upper Egypt and provide distinguished educational environments for students that encourage them. To refine and improve their skills and abilities through the diversity of what they receive from the study of cultural materials and practical training in the companies, factories and farms of the industrial partners; This is to provide the opportunity for students from different governorates of the Republic to enroll in applied technology schools.
Basileh explained that boys and girls who have completed the preparatory certificate for the 2022-2023 school year will be able to apply to enroll in the school, and all conditions for progress and admission will be announced in June 2022, through the official website of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education.
For his part, Eng. Mahmoud El-Anany, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dakahlia Group of Companies and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the El-Anany Foundation for Human Development, expressed his happiness with the opportunity for the El-Anany Foundation for Human Development to participate in supporting and developing technical education programs in the agricultural, poultry and animal sectors, in addition to providing practical training and interaction with market requirements. Work to present a distinguished and professional model of technicians according to international standards.
He added that the Foundation hopes, through this partnership, and with its expertise in supporting and developing agricultural technical education, and to have an effective role in empowering girls as well so that they have fair opportunities for academic technical education and the development of their skills in order to qualify to work efficiently and professionally, which may change in the future. Close to the mental image of the inability of women to work in the agricultural field, concluded Eng. Mahmoud Al-Anani, stressing that the agricultural sector is one of the most important sectors in the national economy because it is related to citizens, their food and their health.
Mr. Ashraf Negm, Chairman of the National Charitable Fund "Education Life", said that with regard to the "Education is Life" fund, it is the first charitable investment fund that supports education in Egypt by providing a distinguished educational service directed to the areas most in need, and the "Education is Life" fund was established “Within the framework of the state’s interest in finding a mechanism to provide sustainable financing for the development of education, and in response to the call of the President of the Republic to give the issue of education priority and provide the necessary funding for education programmes.
He pointed out that the fund aims to finance all elements of the educational process through all stages of education, and also covers education of all kinds, starting with building, renovating and furnishing schools and providing them with modern educational means and communication networks. To finance the design and development of curricula, educational content and digital applications, and the fund supports technical education by contributing to the establishment and development of applied technology schools in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and the private sector.
