Today, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education signed a cooperation protocol with Schneider Electric Egypt, the European Institute for Cooperation and Development (IECD), and the National Charitable Investment Fund for Education; With the aim of completing the development process of the Electro Egypt School of Applied Technology, affiliated to the Peace Administration, in Cairo Governorate.
The protocol was signed by Dr. Mohamed Mohamed Megahed, Deputy Minister of Education for Technical Education, Seif El Demerdash, Vice President of Schneider Electric Egypt and North East Africa for the residential and distribution sector, Nour Ahmed Kamel, Director of the European Institute for Cooperation and Development in Egypt (IECD), and Ashraf Mohamed Ezzat Negm, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fund National Charitable Investment for Education (Education is Life).
Dr. Mohamed Megahed stressed the need to cooperate with private sector companies in schools of applied technology, because this cooperation achieves a balance between what students receive from theoretical information and practical applications in factories and industrial partners companies, adding that this is what happened at Electro Egypt School of Technology after the inclusion of Schneider Electric Company and a fund Education is a life as partners with the European Institute for Cooperation and Development and the French Chamber.
Megahed added that the first batch of school students who specialize in electrical maintenance will graduate this school year 2021/2022, and the field of electrical maintenance is one of the most important areas that the Egyptian labor market needs, as it is the mainstay for comprehensive development in all sectors, and is part of National plans to develop the energy sector in Egypt and achieve its sustainability within the framework of Egypt's Vision 2030, and the Integrated and Sustainable Energy Strategy in Egypt "2016-2035".
In a related context, Dr. Amr Basileh, Head of the Central Administration for the Development of Technical Education and Director of the Operation and Management Unit for Applied Technology Schools, stressed that the unit closely follows up on all schools of applied technology, and provides supervisors in all schools to ensure the application of international standards in teaching, training and evaluation methods applied in schools of technology. applied, so that the unit can monitor all that is positive or negative in schools; The Ministry can maintain the quality of applied technology schools, and develop them continuously to serve the educational process, and provide students with all the training and skills that qualify them fully for the local or international labor market.
Basileh referred to the ministry's efforts towards opening more applied technology schools in the next academic year 2022/2023, in various parts of the republic. To open new applied technology schools.
For his part, Eng. Seif El-Demerdash, Vice President of the company for the housing and distribution sector in Schneider Electric Egypt, North Africa and the Arab Levant, expressed his happiness in partnering with the Ministry of Education in developing the Electro Egypt School for Applied Technology, which will allow the company the opportunity to support and develop technical education programs for technicians in the electricity sector. Nour Ahmed Kamel, representative of the European Institute for Cooperation and Development in Egypt, said that the signing of this protocol is a continuation of the success of the continuous and fruitful cooperation that has taken place between the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and the European Institute for Cooperation and Development since July 2016, where the program of the European Institute for Cooperation and Development "Seeds of Hope" was successfully implemented.
