"Education" signed a cooperation protocol with Talaat Moustafa Group to establish a new school of applied technology in the field of landscaping
Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and the Talaat Mustafa Holding Group of Companies. To launch the Tomorrow Makers School of Applied Technology, the first school of applied technology specialized in landscaping.
The protocol was signed by Dr. Mohamed Megahed, Deputy Minister of Education and Technical Education for Technical Education Affairs, and Mr. Hisham Talaat Mustafa, CEO and Managing Director of Talaat Mustafa Holding Group.
Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, said that this protocol comes in light of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to expand the establishment of applied technology schools, and spread community awareness of their importance, as a successful model for specialized schools that rely on cooperation with the private sector to meet its needs for cadres. specialized technical.
The minister stressed that the ministry is working to establish a network of applied technology schools as a partnership between the public and private sectors with businessmen, and the schools operate in accordance with internationally recognized best practices in technical and vocational education and training. To graduate technicians with skills and competencies that are compatible with the needs of the Egyptian, regional and international labor market, and are able to join the labor market upon their graduation, thus enabling them to advance the industrial development wheel in Egypt and support the national economy.
The minister explained that the ministry is always seeking to develop the technical education and vocational training system, with the aim of improving the quality of outputs and levels of vocational skills. In order to keep pace with international levels, pointing out that two-thirds of the labor market needs are professions and new specializations.
For his part, Dr. Mohamed Megahed, Deputy Minister of Education for Technical Education, said that the Tomorrow Makers School for Applied Technology located in Cairo Governorate and affiliated with Al-Shorouk Educational Administration is the first applied technology school specialized in the field of landscaping, and the second cooperation with the Talaat Mustafa Holding Group, where the first cooperation took place. Once at the Imam Muhammad Metwally Al-Shaarawy School of Applied Technology specialized in the field of architectural finishes and maintenance, refrigeration and air conditioning, specialized networks for facilities, and integrated electrical systems, and the first batch of them graduated in the academic year 2020/2021.
Mujahid added that in addition to the ministry's endeavor to expand and increase the number of applied technology schools, the quality of applied technology schools is a top priority, as the performance of employees and students is analyzed periodically, and students' paths are followed up after their graduation, in addition to applying curricula based on the merit system, and the budget. Between the scientific and practical sides, where students are provided with basic knowledge through cultural and artistic materials, and technical skills through practical exercises inside schools and in the factories of industrial partners.
For his part, Dr. Amr Basila, Head of the Central Administration for the Development of Technical Education, and Director of the Applied Technology Schools Operation and Management Unit, expressed his happiness that the number of applied technology schools has reached 46 schools, in 14 governorates of the Republic, namely (Cairo, Giza, Qalyubia, Alexandria). Sharqia, Menoufia, Assiut, Minya, Beni Suef, New Valley, Port Said, Suez, Dakahlia, Sohag). They study 692 teachers and administrators, who are trained periodically on the latest educational systems, quality standards, and the competency system, in addition to providing them with financial incentives on a monthly basis.
Basila confirmed that the opening of the door to apply to join the work team of the Applied Technology Schools Operation and Management Unit, as well as some of the applied technology schools, will soon be announced on the official website of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education.
For his part, Mr. Hisham Talaat Moustafa, CEO and Managing Director of Talaat Moustafa Holding Group, expressed Talaat Moustafa Group's keenness to contribute to technical education programs, and to complete its societal role in supporting technical education and upgrading human cadres, and he added that the group believes in the need to embody its social responsibility as a moral value. This came in the presence of Dr. Sherine Hamdy, Advisor to the Minister for Administrative Development and Supervisor of the Central Administration for the Affairs of the Minister's Office, and Dr. Muhammad Musa Emara, Head of the Central Administration for Technical Education Schools, and Dr. Muhammad Jalal, Head of the Follow-up Sector at Talaat Mustafa Holding Group, from the Talaat Mustafa Group.
