The Minister of Education is following up on the implementation of the educational qualification program
Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, followed up the implementation of the educational qualification program for successful teachers in the “30,000 teachers competition” during the period from 13 to 16 March, in the training hall of Gamal Abdel Nasser Secondary School for Girls affiliated to the Dokki Educational Administration, to train new teachers. affiliated to the educational departments of Dokki, Agouza, and Kerdasa.
Dr. Reda Hegazy confirmed, during his meeting with the trainees, that there is no development of education without upgrading the teacher and developing him professionally, pointing out that the new education development strategy is based on organizing the requirements and procedures for hiring teachers, developing their performance and promoting them, pointing out that the ministry's vision for the future is represented in the presence of teachers with the skills Professionalism, excellent knowledge, and sound professional values and behaviors.
He added that the ministry has begun to set standards and indicators of professional competencies for teachers. To guide the process of continuing professional development.
The minister explained that the general objective of the educational training for new teachers is to provide teachers with knowledge, skills and attitudes towards practicing the teaching and learning processes, in order to qualify them educationally and train them on the teaching methods developed according to the new learning system, as the educational directorates were notified of the controls and procedures of the educational qualification program.
The minister indicated that there is another training for mental and physical fitness following this training, in coordination with the concerned authorities, stressing that after passing these trainings, the executive procedures for the justifications for appointment will be initiated in coordination with the educational directorates.
The minister held a dialogue with the trainees about the training materials they receive, and discussed with them how they benefited from the training and its importance. The trainees praised the training materials, and expressed the extent to which they benefited from the training topics, the active participation of the participants, the diversity of training strategies, and the application of the simulation system for what is implemented in the classrooms. In addition to discussion, dialogue, and brainstorming, they also pointed out that this training made them reactivate memory, and know the developments that occurred and the changes that occurred in the fields of learning.
It is worth noting that the training package for the educational program for successful new teachers in the "30,000 teachers competition" takes place over four training days. The first day dealt with understanding the general framework of teachers' abilities, understanding the age group of learners, and formulating learning outcomes. The second day dealt with teaching strategies. The third day dealt with technology, enhancing higher-order thinking skills, and efficient classroom management strategy. The fourth day dealt with extracting the features of education in light of Egypt's vision for Education 2030, describing the new education system, evaluating performance, and improving the effectiveness of the new education system in improving teacher and learner practices.
In another context, the minister visited a number of classes at Gamal Abdel Nasser Secondary School for Girls, to follow up on the school's educational process, and held a dialogue with first-grade secondary students during the German language class about choosing the language and the importance of teaching it. The minister also discussed the students of another class during the philosophy class about the lesson. and how they deal with problem solving.
The minister also inspected the school's exhibition for art education, and the students explained their artistic works on national projects in Egypt, where the minister praised these works and their artistic talents.
During the visit, the minister was accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Al-Mohammadi, Assistant Minister for Directorate Affairs, Dr. Randa Shaheen, Head of the Central Administration for the Public Education Sector, Dr. Rabab Zaidan, Director General of the General Administration for Training Leaders Affairs, and Ashraf Salouma, Director of the Directorate of Education in Giza.
