The Ministry of Education and Technical Education organized a consultative training session for heads of equal opportunity units in educational directorates and departments on the implementation of lectures on reproductive health in educational institutions, based on the sustainable development goals and Egypt's vision 2030, and within the framework of the government's commitment to its obligations in achieving gender justice and integrating the concept of gender. At the outset of the workshop, Dr. Mohamed Hassan Othman, Director of the Equal Opportunities and Human Rights Unit, welcomed the attendees, stressing the keenness of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education to improve the quality of education and educational services provided to male and female learners throughout the Republic in accordance with the Strategic Plan for Pre-University Education 2014/2030 with a participatory approach and in cooperation with Its local and international partners in line with the spirit and principles of the 2014 Constitution, which provides for the promotion of the values of equality, non-discrimination and equal opportunities embodied in the Constitution.

He pointed out that he believes in the importance of promoting the principle of justice based on gender, which emphasizes the development of educational methods, the abolition of discrimination on the basis of sex, especially with regard to the role of women in society, and the provision of a safe and healthy educational structure in schools by developing curricula and teaching methods and improving the quality of education at all levels. .

This represents the Egyptian state's response to the international conventions on human rights that have been ratified by the competent authorities, the recommendations of the universal periodic review of the Human Rights Council at the United Nations, and Egypt's commitments to the goals of sustainable development 2030 in general.
He pointed out that the Ministry of Education has taken the initiative more than a decade ago to integrate gender into its development plans, and to build strategic partnerships with advocates of gender in education, as work is underway to integrate issues of gender equality in education, hence the partnership between the Ministry of Education and Education and Technical Education and the Ministry of Health and Population to disseminate a culture of gender equality within the strategy aimed at improving the status of gender and reducing gaps in the educational, social, economic and political fields, generalizing a culture of gender sensitivity between both sexes and reducing the presence of any gender-based violence associated with school in the content of types and forms The various educational materials in the school environment and related matters.

In her speech, Dr. Suad Abdel-Meguid, Head of the Central Department of Reproductive Health at the Ministry of Health and Population, explained the need to properly understand the reproductive health of girls and the danger of violence against women to her, the family and society as a whole in order to develop society at all levels.

During the session, Dr. Menna Waheed, a reproductive health specialist at the Ministry of Health and Population, delivered a speech on the skills necessary for a healthy life and the importance of reproductive health in the family and society.
