The Ministry of Education announces the start of the activities of the Republic Schools Students' Union 2020/2021

Under the patronage of Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, the activities of the elections program for the Executive Office of the General Union of Students of the Republic started today, via video conference in all directorates, which will take place from 21 to 24 March.

Dr. Reda Hegazy, Deputy Minister for Teachers Affairs, said that the process of building the Egyptian human being is a continuous process, and it is not only done with lessons inside the classroom, but rather practices that students practice, whether inside or outside the classroom, including the Egyptian Student Union, explaining that these elections are the first steps to learning and practicing democracy and consolidating its principles. And its values, and the acquisition of skills that qualify for the practice of democratic work in the lives of future students.

Dr. Reda Hegazy thanked the officials in charge of the elections program for the Executive Office of the Federation, wishing success to the candidates.

Ahmed Moussa, the General Leader of the Republic Schools Students' Union, explained that the elections program for the Executive Office of the General Union of Students of the Republic comes this year under the slogan (Student Unions and Digital Transformation) within the Ministry’s policy and approach, and its practical application.

The timetable for the conduct of the electoral process includes acquaintance with candidates for membership of the Executive Office of the Republic Student Union Council, the election of the executive office in addition to the central committee screening the voting records and announcing the results, requests for the nomination of the secretary and assistant secretary, meeting with candidates for the positions of secretary and assistant secretary, presenting electoral programs, preparing election cards and voting And the result is announced.
