The Minister of Education approves the results of technical diplomas, first round, for the academic year 2022/2021
Today, Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, approved the results of the technical diploma exams, first round 2022, thanking all technical education cadres, students and parents for their sincere effort throughout the school year and completing the educational process according to the attendance plan and the study plan while reducing dropouts. Dr. Tarek Shawky praised the success of technical education in committing to achieving the planned achievements according to the strategy of developing technical education that the ministry has applied since 2018. One of its results appeared this year in the diploma exam - for the first time - where 1,100 labor market representatives participated with the residents of the Ministry of Education In evaluating the 21,298 students who have completed the study of the developed study programs on the methodology of professional competencies required in the labor market, for a period of three years since the 2019-2020 academic year.
The minister pointed to the optimal use of technical education for its capabilities and the built capabilities to provide additional explanations for curricula and lessons On-Line by allocating the Egypt Channel for Technical Education to provide an explanation for all technical education programs only at a rate of 11 hours per day, and establishing 6 channels for technical education on-line. YouTube to explain courses and reviews, create and activate technical education sector forums to provide links to explain lessons and communicate with students, as well as activate technical education channels in educational directorates, communication pages for technical schools and the efforts currently underway to upload educational materials on the technical education platform on the Ministry’s website.
The Minister also praised the application of the necessary precautionary measures to preserve the health of both students and teachers while conducting practical, laboratory and written examinations for technical diplomas during the period from May 21 to June 16, 2022, for which nearly 800,000 students were submitted and supervised by nearly 215,000 teachers. In 3080 committees, which passed peacefully without recording any case of infection or suspicion of the Corona virus.
Dr. Muhammad Mujahid, Deputy Minister of Technical Education, said that the result of technical diplomas has special features, as the names of the certificates vary to reach 22 certificates, as a result of the multiplicity of specializations (industrial - agricultural - commercial - hotel), and the presence of two systems of study (3 years, 5 years), and the presence of more than one study method (regular study - study in the dual education system - study in the vocational preparation system - study on the labor system).
Mujahid declared, that the most important features of the result are as follows:
5-year system: 18,757 students attended (4 certificates) with a success rate of 80.84%, a decrease of 3.54% over the previous year.
3-year system: 662036 students attended (4 certificates) with a success rate of 69.35%, a decrease of 0.87% over the previous year.
3-year system - dual education and training: 18,792 students attended (4 certificates) with a success rate of 85.02%, a decrease of 0.44% over the previous year.
3-year system: programs developed according to the merits methodology - 21,298 students attended - (4 certificates) with a success rate of 86.36% (for the first time with the participation of labor market representatives in the evaluation process).
Applied technology, 3-year system: 1312 students attended (3 certificates), with a success rate of 70.73%.
3-year system - professional preparation: 67,156 students attended (3 certificates), with a success rate of 44.61%, an increase of 5.11% over the previous year.
The number of integration students who attended the exam reached 4,973 students with a success rate of 85.46%, a decrease of 2.48% over the previous year.
The Deputy Minister for Technical Education announced that the total attendance is 789,351 students, the total of those who have succeeded is 539,564 students, with a success rate of 68.36%, and the total of those who will take the second round exam are 215,572 students (27.31%), and the total of the rest is to repeat 34,204 students with a rate of (4.33%).
The Deputy Minister of Technical Education congratulated the first technical diplomas for 2022 by telephone, who numbered 29 male and female students (20 male students + 9 students) from 13 governorates including Sharkia, Qalyubia, Giza, Alexandria, Ismailia, Cairo, Beheira, Kafr El-Sheikh and Gharbia. Menoufia, Dakahlia, New Valley, and Port Said. The Deputy Minister promised the students to honor them soon by the ministry, as it takes place every year in a celebration worthy of their excellence and diligence to set an example for their peers.
