Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, received Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Minister of Culture; To discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two ministries, as well as to discuss a number of issues related to cultural activity in schools.

The Minister of Education stressed that receiving knowledge and practicing school activities within educational institutions are two essential factors in building the desired personality, and it comes within the strategy of building the Egyptian person, which is one of the most important axes of Egypt's development vision 2030.
Dr. Reda Hegazy added that the Ministry of Education is interested, during the current academic year 2022/2023, in practicing activities of all kinds, sports, cultural and artistic. Pointing out that this contributes to discovering and caring for gifted people in cooperation with the relevant ministries, appreciating the importance of the role of the Ministry of Culture in cooperating with the Ministry of Education to implement the "initiative to revive school theater and arts in schools," noting that strengthening cooperation between the two ministries aims to take care of our gifted children.
He explained that artistic and cultural education represents one of the most important factors in building public taste, stressing that the ministry aims to make the stage for everyone so that students in various schools across the Republic can practice cultural and artistic activity.
Dr. Reda Hegazy reviewed the ministry's strategy in implementing the activities day in schools, by allowing time for practicing various activities, and allocating an activity day for each class. To practice all activities in schools nationwide, and how to benefit from cooperation with the Ministry of Culture in discovering talented people, refining them, and training students in the fields of literature, singing, artistic drawings, poetry, theatrical composition and acting during the activity day, and the continuation of this role during the school year and the summer vacation.
For her part, the Minister of Culture, Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, praised the fruitful cooperation between the Ministries of Culture and Education and Technical Education, which will touch on several areas during the coming period, as the two ministries will work on returning the school “dramatization of curricula” project to present it in an interesting format that simplifies information for our students, and supports their academic achievement. She indicated that the work will be carried out through more than one path, including the use of specialists in the Ministry of Culture to train those in charge of artistic activities in schools and to create training bags specialized in various fields of arts to be circulated in schools to disseminate arts and develop talents, in addition to creating a database for gifted students in schools to support and develop their talents and enroll them in centers. Artistic schools, schools for the gifted, programs to support and discover talented people at the Ministry of Culture, and work to publish a notice in the various schools of the competitions sponsored by the Ministry of Culture for children and adolescents, to ensure the participation of the largest number of talented people in Cairo and the governorates.
The Minister of Culture added that the day of cultural activities in schools will reach important areas of the land of Egypt to spread the arts, discover talents and support the state's efforts to confront extremist ideas.
The meeting witnessed a review of the general framework for ways of cooperation between the two ministries in implementing the "Revive School Theater and Arts in Schools" initiative, which is scheduled to be launched by the Ministry of Education and Technical Education on January 7, during the performance of the play "Taqdir" at the Egyptian Opera House, in cooperation with the Madrasatna channel group. And the media partner, "United Media Services".
It was agreed to form a joint committee between the two ministries to support, discover and care for talented people, to ensure the sustainability of this work, enrich gifted students during the school year and summer vacation, and how to support school theater, as it is one of the main pillars of school activity. Because of its great impact in developing students' talents and raising their moral abilities.
The meeting also touched on the field of cooperation in publishing children's books on the platforms of the Ministry of Culture and converting them into cartoons, and broadcasting them on our school channels, as well as broadcasting film and illustrated materials for children produced by the Ministry of Culture on our school channels and re-cooperation in the dramatization of curricula project, given that dramatization of curricula Study is a successful way to communicate information and ideas to be conveyed to students because of its active role in confirming the concept of the required scientific subject and simplifying it in an appropriate manner, as it was agreed to form a coordinating committee from both sides; To implement the topics under cooperation to start working on them.
The meeting also witnessed an agreement to prepare a joint training bag to train the category of activity teachers to discover talents, and to make them available to all students, in addition to cooperation between the two ministries in enhancing the number of activity teachers in schools.
In the same context, it was also agreed to strengthen cooperation between the two ministries to open schools of applied technology in the field of arts in various governorates (for music and cinema).
The two ministers also agreed to discuss allocating a technical incentive similar to the sports incentive for talented students who won prizes in international and local artistic competitions.
Dr. Reda Hijazi and Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani stressed the importance of providing all available means and capabilities that support people of determination, and enabling this group to take its role in participating in cultural activity and promoting and nurturing creative talents.
The meeting was attended on the part of the Ministry of Culture, Hisham Atwa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, and Ahmed Saudi, Director of the Office of the Minister of Culture, and on the part of the Ministry of Education, Dr. Sherine Hamdy, Advisor to the Minister for Administrative Development and Supervisor of the Central Administration for the Affairs of the Minister’s Office, and Dr. Iman Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Activities students, Dr. Akram Hassan, Head of the Central Department for Curriculum Development, Dr. Rabab Abdel Mohsen, Director General of Art Education Development, Abeer Adly, Director General of Music Education Development, and Dr. Rabab Zaidan, Director General of the General Administration of Educational Leaders.
