This morning, high school students, in its literary and scientific divisions, took the exam for the first round of the general secondary school completion certificate for the current academic year 2022/2023, in the first foreign language subject, with a total number of (728,395) students, as (726,447) students sat. The first English language student, (1,934) first French language students, and (14) first German language students, before (2097) examination committees at the level of the Republic.

Also, (1824) students from STEM Schools of Excellence for Science and Technology took the conceptual measures test (English language), while (255) students from schools for the blind took the Psychology (first period) exam, and Sociology (first period). second).

Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education and Head of the General Secondary Examinations Examinations, was keen to follow up the general secondary exams (first round) through video conferencing technology at the operating room headquarters of the Education Directorate in Alexandria Governorate, where he was assured of the progress of the examination process in all governorates.

Khaled Abdel-Hakam, Head of the Central Department for Combating Educational Dropout and Vice President of General Secondary Examinations, was keen, before the start of the exam, to communicate with all the directors of the educational directorates present in the local operations rooms, and also reassured the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Interior; To secure the headquarters of traffic committees in all governorates.

The exam atmosphere went well and in a disciplined manner, without the occurrence of any problems that would disturb the exam process.

Through the Central Operations Room’s follow-up of the exams’ progress in all governorates, members of the Electronic Fraud Control Team were able to monitor (4) cases of electronic fraud in the governorates (Cairo, Sharkia, Menoufia, and Minya), where these students were caught cheating using a mobile phone. The used mobile phones have been confiscated, case reports of the exact facts have been made, the necessary legal measures have been taken against the students who have been seized, and Ministerial Resolution No. (34) of 2018 regarding regulating the conditions of exam cancellation and deprivation from it has been made, and Law No. (205) of the year 2020 regarding combating acts of breach of exams.

The Ministry of Education and Technical Education renews its emphasis on students not using any of the various means of cheating, emphasizing that any attempts to cheat are addressed, and that legal measures are taken regarding any violations that occur in exams.

It is worth noting that high school students in its literary and scientific divisions (first round) will sit on Sunday, July 9, 2023, the exam in Geology and Environmental Sciences for the Scientific Division (Science), Pure Mathematics (Calculus and Integration) for the Scientific Division (Mathematics), and Psychology and Sociology for the Literary Division. .

While students of STEM Schools of Excellence for Science and Technology will perform the preparation test for university admission (the second foreign language) for the first period, and the subject of Concept Measures (the second foreign language) for a second period. Students of the Schools for the Blind will also perform the history exam (first paper).
