Today, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Major General Mohamed Al-Sharif, Governor of Alexandria, inspected the school uniform project at the Roshdy Industrial Technical School for Girls, affiliated with the East Alexandria Administration, as part of following up on preparations for the new academic year 2023/2023.

The Minister and the Governor inspected the workshops of the ready-made clothing department inside the school, and reviewed the details of the students’ production of school uniforms for the governorate.

The Minister and the Governor also held a dialogue with the students about how they benefited from their education through the ready-made clothing department, where the students reported that they were trained through the school to produce clothes of all kinds and offer them at the lowest prices, so that their academic and technical education would be transformed into a product demanded by the local and global market, and help solve the crisis. The Minister directed the expansion of the school’s production activity, in cooperation with the President of the Chamber of Commerce, for export outside the governorate.

It is worth noting that the school has 7 workshops for the school uniform production line, and produces 350 T-shirts per day, at a cost price to ease the burden on parents in the governorate. It also seeks to graduate distinguished female students who keep pace with technological progress and develop their skills in a way that suits the needs of the labor market, in addition to raising The cultural and technological level of female students, qualifying them to carry out small projects according to their specializations, in addition to sustainable professional development for teachers and school staff.

In the same context, the Directorate launched an initiative to enhance the ability of technical education students to manufacture the best materials and quality, in addition to contracting with the school to provide school uniforms to the governorate’s schools, both language and distinguished schools and government schools in the governorate, to manufacture school uniforms for them through decorative schools and sewing and embroidery departments in technical schools.

The Minister and Governor also opened the free “Ambassadors of Charity” exhibition at the school, which provides all school supplies for free. The exhibition includes school uniforms, school sports uniforms, school bags, office supplies, and shoes to be distributed free of charge to help students who are unable to do so.

The Minister and Governor praised this exhibition, which is considered a charitable work that contributes to alleviating the suffering of parents, thanking all those responsible for it.

During the visit of the Minister and the Governor to the school, the “Get down and Work” initiative was launched at the governorate level to provide job opportunities for graduates of industrial, agricultural and hotel technical education schools.

The Minister praised this initiative, stressing that technical education schools work to develop students’ skills and prepare them for the labor market.

This came in the presence of Dr. Iman Sharaf, Director of the Governor’s Office, Aya Jamal, Assistant to the Governor, Dr. Arabi Abu Zeid, Director of the Governorate’s Education Directorate, and Nadia Fathi, Deputy Director of the Directorate.
