The Minister of Education receives the Saudi ambassador in Cairo to discuss aspects of cooperation
Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, received today at the Ministry’s headquarters, Ambassador Osama Naqli, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Cairo, to discuss ways to support joint cooperation between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Daher, Deputy Minister for Technological Development, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Fraih, Cultural Counselor at the Saudi Embassy in Cairo.
At the beginning of the meeting, the minister praised the strong relations between the two brotherly countries in various fields, stressing the ministry's readiness to provide all aspects of cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two countries in education.
During the meeting, the minister reviewed the steps that have been taken to develop the various stages of education, by looking at several points, including the national and strategic goal of education in Egypt, noting that Egyptian educational curricula with international specifications have been prepared, including methods of character formation and learning creativity and innovation skills. Working to discover talents.
Hegazy pointed out that the ministry is interested in training teachers on a set of targeted programs, as well as providing digital transformation in the Egyptian education curricula, so that information technology skills are available to all through the availability of our school channels and educational platforms.
In his speech, the minister touched on the ministry's efforts to develop technical education, stressing that the ministry seeks to develop professional capabilities and increase its competitiveness locally and internationally.
For his part, the Saudi ambassador praised the historical ties between the two countries, and the importance of cooperation between the two countries in education, pointing out his country's keenness to push and encourage bilateral cooperation with Egypt during the next phase in order to achieve the goals of development and renaissance for the two countries.
The Saudi ambassador invited the Minister of Education to attend the distribution ceremony of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Translation in its tenth session, which will be hosted by Egypt during the month of October.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Sherine Hamdi, the Minister's advisor for administrative development and supervisor of the central administration for the affairs of the Minister's office, Dr. Amr Basila, head of the Central Administration for the Development of Technical Education and Director of the Operational and Management Unit for Applied Technology Schools, and Dr. Hanim Ahmed, Advisor to the Minister for International Cooperation.
