Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, opened this morning, at the beginning of his visit to Luxor, the Excellent School of Science and Technology “STEM” Hotel, within the framework of expanding the number of outstanding schools of science and technology, and ensuring the school’s readiness to receive students in the next academic year 2023/2024. .

Dr. Reda Hegazy stressed that STEM schools are a bright spot in the Egyptian education system, as the Egyptian state cares about the talented and creative because they make a difference in the future, noting that these schools
It includes education based on supporting higher-order thinking skills and scientific research, especially in the fields of science, mathematics, and technology.

The Minister listened to a detailed explanation about the components of the residence hall of the High School of Excellence and the number of students that the building accommodates. He also inspected the various rooms of the building.

The Minister praised the hotel’s capabilities, stressing that the Ministry is keen to support STEM schools and provide comfort for our students studying there to achieve the goal for which they were established.

The Minister inspected the hotel building, which includes 92 rooms (student housing), containing 368 beds. The area of the bedroom for students is 28 square metres, 8 supervision rooms, and 2 staff accommodation rooms. The building also includes 8 study rooms with a capacity of 704. Chairs, 165 art education desks, and 11 teachers’ desks. The study hall has an area of 170 square metres, in addition to a dining hall with an area of 194 square metres, and a kitchen hall with an area of 200 square metres.

This came in the presence of Mohamed Abdel Qader, Deputy Governor of Luxor, Major General Yousry Salem, Assistant Minister for the Affairs of the General Authority for Educational Buildings, and Dr. Sabry Khaled, Director of the Directorate of Education in the governorate.
