As part of the results of Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education's visit to Japan to strengthen relations in the field of pre-university education, the Shorouk Education Administration received a high-level delegation from the Tokyo Prefectural Board of Education to learn about the Egyptian education system.

The delegation included Mr. Kudo Tadahito from International Affairs, and Messrs. Akatsu Kazuya, Mori Motokazu, Shimazu Satoshi, Shimamura Kazuki, and Nakamura Daisuke from the Tokyo Prefectural Board of Education. The delegation was accompanied by Ms. Reham Diab from the International Cooperation and Agreements Department.

This visit builds on the positive results of Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif's visit to Japan, which laid new foundations for joint cooperation between the two sides. This included an agreement to expand the implementation of Japanese "Tokkatsu" activities and develop technical education by supporting partnerships to establish specialized applied technology schools. This also includes enhancing cooperation in the field of special needs education and providing advanced training programs for Egyptian teachers in cooperation with the Japanese side.

This visit was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Hanem Ahmed, Advisor to the Minister for International Cooperation. The visit to public schools was coordinated under the supervision of Dr. Hala Abdel Salam, Head of the Central Administration for General Education.

The visit began at Rifaa Al-Tahtawi Primary School, affiliated with the Shorouk Education Directorate in Cairo Governorate, where the delegation was received by Ms. Sahar El-Khouly, Director General of the Directorate, and Mr. Ihab El-Naggar, School Principal. The tour included a visit to the resource rooms, where the delegation learned about the educational mechanisms provided for inclusive students and watched educational presentations presented by the students with the assistance of their specialized teachers. A short film was also shown highlighting the students' creativity and various skills.

Following this, the delegation visited the kindergarten, where they listened to an explanation from teachers about interactive teaching methods and student participation in educational activities. They also viewed a number of exhibits and paintings created by the students. These works were admired by the Japanese delegation, who demonstrated the development of children's creative skills.

The delegation then visited the Egyptian-Japanese School 2 in El Shorouk to learn about the school's educational system. They were received by Ms. Nevin Hamouda, Advisor to the Minister for Strategic Relations and Supervisor of Egyptian-Japanese Schools, and Ms. Shaimaa Saeed, the school's principal. The tour included several classrooms, artistic performances by the students, and an exchange of souvenirs.

The Japanese delegation praised the implementation of "Tokkatsu" activities within the school, emphasizing that these activities are implemented in accordance with Japanese standards adopted in Tokyo. This reflects the school's commitment to developing students' skills and contributes to the development of educational values ​​through group and artistic activities that encourage cooperation and innovation.

The Japanese delegation's visit is scheduled to include a number of entities of importance for future cooperation between the two sides, including the Egyptian International Entrepreneurship Center in 10th of Ramadan City, which supports and empowers people with special needs, an applied technology school, and the Professional Academy for Teachers. These visits will enhance opportunities for exchanging expertise and expanding the scope of partnerships in the fields of special needs, technical education, and professional development for teachers, in accordance with best practices.
